Overview

The Quality Assurance Coordinator's primary responsibility is to ensure program, services, staffing and facility meet

minimum acceptable standards.

Responsibilities

  • Completion of monthly and quarterly reports for ADAS Department and funders.

  • Organize monthly Continuous Quality Improvement (QCI) meetings, this includes: Peer Review, Unusual Incident Review, Risk Management evaluation and Utilization review.

  • Set agenda for CQI meetings and record minutes.

  • Complete CQI reports and yearly CQI Plan.

  • Assist supervisors with implementation of Quality Improvement Plans.

  • Attend Safety Committee meetings to review safety matters and concerns and present at CQI meetings.

  • Update changes to the policy and procedure manual as needed.

  • Ability to complete client intake, psycho-social assessment and orientation paperwork for respective service.

  • Ability to collaborate with clients to develop and implement an individualized treatment plan, based on the assessment, with measurable goals and objectives.

  • Conduct individual and group sessions for clients with substance abuse disorders.

  • Foster client participation in peer support and self-help services such as AA/NA/CA and other support groups.

  • Maintain necessary documentation to satisfy mandates of federal, state, and local entities.

  • Uphold client rights and confidentiality regulations.

  • Must complete clinical documentation every 24 hours to promote continuity of care and billing compliance.

  • Coordinate discharge and aftercare services to the appropriate next level of care per ASAM.

  • Conduct urinalysis using CLIA waived specimen tools.

  • Prepare for and attend weekly treatment plan review meetings.

  • Participate in quarterly completeness of record reviews.

  • Audit charts for IOP and Detox.

  • Update forms for IOP and Detox as needed.

  • Ensure counselors are keeping up with current licensures and training.

  • Maintain CARF standards and ensure compliance.

  • Assist with clinical supervision as needed.

  • Act as a team lead with the counseling staff.

  • May be requested to assist counseling staff as needed.

  • Perform other duties as directed by supervisor.

Qualifications

Employee must possess at a minimum a valid certification under the Ohio Chemical Dependency Professionals Board as a Chemical Dependency Counselor Assistant (CDCA) or licensed under the State of Ohio Counselor, Social Worker, Marriage and Family Therapist Board as a Licensed Social Worker (LSW).

Employee must be able to obtain an NPI (National Provider Identifier) number.

At least one year of clinical / internship experience working with vulnerable populations such as forensic and substance abuse disordered clients.

Employee must possess addiction and treatment knowledge, which includes, but is not limited to knowledge of evidenced based models of treatment modalities, crisis intervention, case management, recovery and 12 step principles, relapse prevention and continuing care for addiction for clients.

Must have knowledge and uphold Board ethics policies, which includes, but is not limited to client boundaries.

Must be CPR / First Aid certified or in the process of obtaining.
