Quality Assurance Coordinator
1st Shift: 7:30am 4pm
The Quality Coordinator is skilled in executing all actions within the QT department to release approved product for shipment. The Quality Coordinator is the backup delegate to the Senior Quality Engineer when it comes to QT activity coordination. He/she will be consulted to assist in root cause investigations determining the cause(s) and action(s) to prevent recurrence when a quality issue occurs. This individual will review daily sales orders to coordinate the release of quality product to meet the customer's on-time request/promise dates. This individual will be responsible for the coordination of the QA inspection, release, and certification processes to ensure compliance and to meet on-time request/promise dates. This position will be involved in continuous improvement projects.
Accountable for daily open order report product releases to ensure customer delivery as required.
Monitors performance and achieves objectives related to quality technician operations (across all shifts).
Provide direction and scheduling to quality technicians (across all shifts)
Releases and certifies approved/inspected product (receiving, in-process, and finished goods as applicable)
Use working knowledge of inspection techniques to determine most accurate method of comparing measurements of complex parts to blueprint/specification for conformance of form, fit, and function.
Inspects product (receiving, in-process, and finished goods) to established procedures and specifications; reports variances to Quality Manager, Senior Quality Engineer, or Delegate.
Assist in orientation and training of new Quality Technicians and inspection processes, as necessary.
Assist in ensuring proper calibration of equipment and measuring instruments.
Assist in ensuring proper completion of Environmental Monitoring activities.
Assist in the inspection, investigation, disposition of Nonconforming Material Reports (NMR); forward to NMR coordinator and/or Quality Manager for final disposition.
Participates in Continuous Improvement/WCM projects.
Participate in the construction and/or revision of SOPs
Maintain proper level of 5S and proper level of supplies (office and inspection) to prevent depletion. This includes reordering tasks.
Carry out formulated plans, policies and procedures of the department per GDP and GMP regulations.
Communicate with employee's any instructions or requirements as deemed necessary by the Quality Manager.
Must be available for shift work, when necessary.
Be willing to participate in training that may be conducted off-site.
Report safety hazards observed to EHS Coordinator.
Perform stock audits and other related duties as may be required.
Perform other duties as assigned by senior management.
High School Diploma or equivalent
Quality Technician experience (2 to 4 years)Preferred
ISO 13485, cGMPPreferred
Ability to follow/interpret verbal, written, oral, diagram and/or schedule form instructions
Ability to read reports and generate reports on productivity and efficiency
Ability to be highly attentive to detail and consistency
Key Skill Requirements
Must be able to recognize issues and provide solutions for quick resolution without compromise to product quality and employee safety to ensure company produces product per production schedules and deadlines.
Skilled in documentation preparation and creation (SOPs, etc.).
Strong ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions, drawings or blueprints.
Must demonstrate an ability to react effectively to changes in the schedule and priorities to act as role model for junior QTs.
Communicate effectively both in written and verbal as well as listen to others while treating others with respect.
Must have proficiency with word and spreadsheet applications and computer operating system.
Experience troubleshooting manufacturing methods/processes for quality solutions desired.
Be a strategic thinker, excellent interactive skills, be a team developer capable of fostering a positive team environment.

Work Experience Qualifications
Requires walking, primarily on a level surface throughout the day. May need to climb stairs/steps periodically. May need to reach above shoulder heights and below the waist. Lifting as required with proper lifting techniques up to 50 pounds on occasion. Specific vision abilities required by this job include color vision.
This position is in a clean room and office environment where the use of personal protective equipment such as hearing protection, safety glasses, and safety shoes are mandated. Noise levels and temperatures may vary due to areas accessed. There is some exposure to dust, fumes, and chemicals such as alcohol.
