Summary

As the Quality Assurance Coordinator (QAC) your job will be coordinating and conducting all aspects of our plants manufacturing quality activities from incoming raw materials inspection through the adherence to food packaging regulatory compliance requirements.

Essential Function/Duties and Responsibilities

1.Perform various tests on raw material and production samples, collecting accurate data as needed using required measuring tools, equipment and fixtures.

2.Reviews and communicates product specifications to ensure current standards and procedures meet requirements.

3.Inspect finished or in-process product and determines acceptance or rejection during both qualification and regular production runs.

4.Work closely with Operators and Engineers to interactively communicate product performance parameters that may require immediate process changes.

5.Record test data in a timely fashion, generate reports, and interpret results using provided systems (MS Excel, Word, Cority IQS eQMS).

6.Develops and maintains a training program(s) that enhances the skills of employees to; identify product/process nonconformities, record and track nonconformities, and implement appropriate corrective action.

7.Coordinate and teach site employees work instructions and product testing procedures with high level of details to describe testing methods.

8.Reviews new products CTQs to ensure testing methods performed are adequate and makes appropriate adjustments if necessary.

9.Perform GMP, Quality Systems, and HACCP audits as prescribed.

Education and/or Experience

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); a minimum of three (3) years experience in quality inspection or one (1) year experience in the Companys manufacturing environment. Experience using Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Word is a must. Minitab experience is a plus.

Skills / Competencies

  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret technical documentation, business documents, technical processes and procedures, and industry standards, models and regulations. Strong organizational skills with a demonstrated ability to proactively take initiative and complete tasks in a timely manner.

    Excellent oral/written communication skills. Able to use measuring devices (scales, magna mic, force gages, micrometers, calipers, etc.) requiring computer input knowledge.

Responsibilities Gama Aviation LLC, a Wheels Up Company, is seeking a Quality Control Inspector with extensive experience working within a Quality Control aviation operations environment for an Air Carrier Certificate holder and complying with Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) regulations. The candidate must have a strong background in aircraft maintenance records review and Part 135 Conformity inspections. The Quality Control Inspector will report to the Director of Maintenance and Chief Inspector. * Scheduled and unscheduled return to service maintenance documentation audits per the Gama Aviation Maintenance & Operations Manual and internal audits as required. * Aircraft Maintenance Tracking Program audit/review for accuracy. * Ensure Aircraft Maintenance Logs, maintenance records, reports, forms, and parts are properly documented. * Aircraft Maintenance records research for Part 135 conformity and FAA submission. * Interface with qualified maintenance vendors/ Repair Station providers as required. * Ensure that all contract maintenance vendors and/or personnel are qualified to perform maintenance on Gama Aviation LLC managed aircraft in accordance with the company Maintenance Manual. * Perform Contract Maintenance provider audits. * Provide Gama Aviation LLC Maintenance Manual, technical and regulatory compliance assistance to the maintenance staff as needed in support of day to day operations. Ensure company Standard Practices and Procedures are in compliance. * Assist the Chief Inspector with the Gama Aviation LLC Maintenance Manual required maintenance training, documentation of training, recurrent training, and tracking of training. * Setup and maintain a tracking matrix for required Part 135 data. * Assist the Chief Inspector and Director of Maintenance with projects and follow-up. Qualifications * Must have FAA Technician certification with Airframe & Powerplant rating. * Must have a minimum of 5 years experience related to aircraft maintenance. * Must have a minimum of 3-5 year's in a Part 135 and/or Part 145 Quality Control environment. * Must have an excellent working knowledge of FAA Regulation. * Maintenance Tracking Program (CAMP) experience preferred. * Must have excellent oral and written communication skills. * Must be Self-motivated and can work independently while keeping a team perspective. * Must have a working knowledge of computers and software: MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook. * Ability to prioritize competing issues and coordinate resolutions with associated departments. * Demonstrated strong organizational and time management skills.
