Quality Assurance Compliance Officer

Job Summary:

The Quality Compliance Officer will report directly to the safety quality & mission assurance manager, and will align the organization into compliance to Paragon's quality management system and applicable contracts and regulations. The functional assignment includes numerous administrative duties, supporting efforts and delegated responsibilities as required to execute the objective planning for Operations.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Certification Management and Internal Audit Assessment:

• Define the tactics and goals for Paragon ISO9001/AS9100 Certification and Compliance effort through comprehensive audit assessment and compliance verification actions as directed by the Safety Quality & Mission Assurance Manager and Director of Operations.

• Perform contract review on new and repeat orders to ensure compliance requirements and contractual quality flow down requirements are met.

• Enhance or improve existing policies and procedures through continual risk-based assessments and planned preventive measures.

Administrative support and Document Control:

• Create, control, and communicate a consistent effort to the Operations department for Document configuration management. Ownership and accountability for templates, identification and format of department documents.

• Assist and support the document approval and release process in the Configuration management System(s), replete with an on-call assistance effort and administrative resolution.

• Provide the department with administrative support functions as prescribed by the Director of Operations.

• Create, control, and communicate a consistent effort to the operations department for Configuration Management.

• Ownership and accountability for templates, identification and format of department documents.

Compliance Verification:

• Assist the Quality Assurance, Manufacturing Engineering and Factory Operations Manager with specific verification efforts to ensure product integrity and process controls are consistent with the Customer Contractual Quality requirements and aligned with the Quality Management System.

• Close control and coordination of efforts that retain acceptance data, end item records and document retention policies that are consistent with the Paragon QMS and the Contractual Quality obligation.

• Ensure engagement throughout Paragon by invoking and supporting each participants functional department, assist with the execution efforts assigned for Program and Project requirements, as designed, and directed by each Department Manager.

• Responsible for monitoring and analyzing processes and/or product outputs, identifying systemic problems and opportunity areas, providing data and direction to the site(s), and work with team members to drive process improvements to work toward zero-defect quality performance.

• Demonstrate the ability to perform cross functional assignments and tasks.

Safety:

• Ensure compliance to the OSHA/CFR requirements for Safety, Health and Environmental Protection of Employees.

• Assist and support the Safety Specialist for compliance assessment, risk mitigation strategies and verification of engineered or administrative preventive efforts.

• Ensure that the site and suppliers quality management system consistently meets or exceeds customers and companies requirements.

• Enhance or improve existing policies and procedures through continual risk-based assessments and planned preventive measures.

• Conduct internal and external audits to ensure corporate and applicable regulatory compliance.

• Maintain annual reporting requirements for the applicable regulatory agencies.

• B.S. in Engineering, STEM or Technology related field is desired and could be satisfied with demonstrated experience in the duty area functions.

• ASQ Certification, Lean SS or DFx is preferred, not required for application

• Ability to articulate experience in previous Practical Problem Solving tool application, Root Cause and Corrective Action is desired

• AS9100/ISO9001 Audit and Certification experience is desired. A certification training path will be established for accepted candidates that demonstrate the necessary aptitude.
