Position: Quality Assurance Auditor

Job Type: Full Time

OVERALL JOB PURPOSE

ProCaps Laboratories is a large and growing manufacturer of several hundred dietary supplement SKUs, along with a rapidly expanding line of functional foods (nutritional bars, plus others), all of which are 100% additive free and manufactured using 100% solar power in our zero-carbon footprint facility. We are looking for a highly experienced Quality Assurance Auditor. Youll be responsible for compliance and continuous quality improvement within the production area. Additional duties will be to monitor productions daily activities in regards to compliance to SOPs and cGMPs, follow through with appropriate actions needed.

MINIMUM JOB QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS

  • College degree in a science related field preferred, but not required

  • Minimum 3 years of work experience in a manufacturing or cGMP environment, or related experience

  • Must possess good computer skills

  • Be able to learn quickly in-house computer programs

  • Strong communication skills to include the ability to be effective in working with production operators and supervisors

  • Must be willing to work overtime or on weekends, as the workload demands

OTHER ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Conduct detailed production audits and enforcing strict cGMPs to ensure the highest quality is produced by continually striving to improve company and quality SOPs

  • Conduct daily production audits to monitor production performance within cleanliness, sanitization, dispense, blending, encapsulation, bottling, labeling and documentation accuracy and completeness

  • Inspect and monitor all in-process materials and finished goods

  • Create computer-digital entries for any nonconformance issues, collect data, and report to QA management/production management for complete follow through

  • Audit all production electronic paperwork (PCLE) to include checklists, data reporting, releases and rejections for completeness

  • Recommend and initiate procedures to prevent errors or to improve quality in all areas of production and quality

  • Generate daily pass down for QA production auditors and QA supervisor

  • Assist in providing labels as needed to production staff

  • Follow all quality department SOPs including any actions taken. Contribute to and support the companys quality initiatives through individual and team contributions.

  • Perform other duties and responsibilities, as assigned

WORK ENVIRONMENT

  • Daily work is on the production floor, standing/walking the majority of the time

  • Working around powders and strong odors; use of a particulate mask will be provided when needed

  • Duties are performed primarily in a smoke-free environment

Also inspects hardware installation on the boards for shipment. We have roles available for first and second shift.</p><p><strong>IPC-A-610 experience with J-STD-001 is required.</strong></p><p><strong>ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS</strong></p><ul><li>Responsible for the inspection of manufactured products and process setups when applicable using first article pieces, setup pieces, shift samples, etc. according to checklists, blueprints, travelers and standards.</li><li>Responsible for the completion and maintenance of inspection records, logs and forms.</li><li>Responsible for reporting inspection results and substandard conditions on appropriate forms or computer.</li><li>Responsible for identifying product items as accepted or disposition appropriately.</li><li>Responsible for the review of travelers to ensure they are complete and print out labels for PCA and chassis assemblies.</li><li>Assists with the preparation of corrective action requests, and preventive action requests as related to production work to ensure compliance with established policies, procedures and work instructions.</li><li>Responsible for filing travelers when job is complete.</li><li>Perform and maintain 5s in the immediate work area.</li></ul><p><strong>Requirements</strong></p><ul><li>Minimum three (3) years of electronics inspection experience manufacturing test environment.</li><li>Able to use inspection tools i.e. micrometer, microscope, calipers, pin gages.</li><li>Proficient use of PC for data entry and maintaining inspection records.</li><li> Functional knowledge of IPC-A-610, familiarity with J-STD-001 and the following: 1.
