Self directed with minimal management oversight. Responsible for execution of operational audits, consulting engagements, and other projects as needed to ensure teams are in compliance with Regulatory requirements, department and corporate policies and procedures. Determine audit steps in collaboration with the Manager, review and evaluate current processes and procedures for efficiencies and effectiveness for changes in test plans, document work papers, and evaluate, communicate and draft audit findings and recommendations

Responsibilities & Essential Functions

  • Assist in the design and scope of the audit program and testing steps.

  • Perform inquiry, observation, and testing, utilizing experience and professional skepticism.

  • Document work papers in a clear and concise manner and in accordance with departmental standards.

  • Conclude on testing results based on current processes and procedures.

  • Coordinate with management to determine appropriate recommended actions.

  • Draft audit findings and recommendations in a clear and concise manner and in accordance with departmental standards.

  • Works on multiple and complex issues where analysis of data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors.

  • Analyze reporting to highlight trends and anomalies warranting further detail review.

  • Identifying what is different and anticipating the Department s next steps to mitigate future issues.

  • Research the anomalies and create solutions to improve processes, automate specific tasks, and enhance control reporting.

  • Takes a broader perspective to identify innovative solutions for functional area.

  • Sought out as a resource for others.

  • Offer suggestions, develops training material, and shares job knowledge as needed.

  • Networks with key contacts outside own functional area.


  • 2-4 year degree strongly preferred or equivalent industry experience


  • FINRA 6 permitted, but not required. Corporate-established timelines apply to permitted registrations.
  • FINRA fingerprinting required.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 2-3+ years of audit or equivalent experience in audit preferred

  • Has wide ranging experience, uses professional concepts and company objectives to resolve complex issues in creative way

  • Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)

  • Comprehensive knowledge of the business, the internal record keeping system and products/services will be required

  • Demonstrates good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions.

  • Able to multi-task, prioritize, and problem-solve effectively

  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills

  • Ability to work independently

  • Strong customer service skills, along with excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills

As a Software Quality Engineer, you will be part of a team defining and developing proof of concept designs with banking customers to apply advanced technologies to drive the next generation of customer experiences in banking. This is a hands-on position demanding research and evaluation of new technologies. In this key role, you will be responsible for establishing and implementing quality assurance practices across new digital banking platforms. While using advance tools, you will be challenged to continually adapt innovative testing strategies and toolsets to support major industry technology implementations. Key Job functions: * Design test strategies to align with business risk and technology goals. * Design detailed and comprehensive test plans and test cases * Estimate, prioritize, plan and testing related project work. * Develop test scenarios using test tools and QA best practices. * Identify, document and track variances in design, requirements and functionality. * Use advance automation test tools for use in future implementations * Use database tools to create use case scenario and analyze system behavior. * Liaise with internal teams such as product managers and client support teams to ensure a quality customer experience. * Monitor overall quality levels and support debugging processes. * Create and publish overall quality metrics for product and client releases * Maintain quality artifacts such as test designs, cases and tools used by the organization. Required Skills and Experience: * Minimum of 2 years of relevant software testing experience * Expertise in managing test plans and cases using test management tools * Experience is managing quality related efforts within an Agile based software development methodology.
