Requisition ID : 1147APPLYThe American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP), the nations leading advocacy organization for childrens healthcare, seeks a team player to design, develop and lead quality assurance processes and methods to test software applications.
Develop measures for testing all aspects of a software solution, both functionally and technically, in order to meet the requirements and overall quality of the intended solution.Some duties include:1.
Develop and coordinate test plans for applications, data-drive reports and databases to ensure plans are complete and will validate that deliverables meet functional and design specifications and requirements.
Evaluate and test new or modified software programs and software development procedures used to verify that programs function according to user requirements and conform to established guidelines.
Write, revise, and verify quality standards and test procedures for program design and product evaluation to attain accurate, reliable, economic and efficient quality software development that conforms to established standards.2.
Lead the software quality assurance function and perform final signoff with our business partners as a condition of production system release.3.
Provide post implementation support for all deliverables.4.
Manage test environment for integration testing activities.5.
Develop, manage and automate testing software scripts.6.
Develop functional specifications and new customer report templates for technical analysis.7.
Effectively collaborate with Business Analysts and Project Managers to meet deliverable deadlines for various projects.8.
Determine root cause of defects to prevent recurrence of the issues and quality problems, and make recommendations to improve systems development life cycle (SDLC) process.Qualifications Needed:1.Bachelors degree in computer science, business or related discipline, or an equivalent combination of relevant education/certifications and work experience required.
2.Three to four years application testing experience required, including report and data validation testing with functional test execution.
Some experience writing queries to verify backend functionality preferred.
3.Experience with Association Management System (AMS) or Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) platforms and association or non-profit organizations preferred.
4.Must be able to manage a heavy workload within tight deadlines and possess excellent analytical, interpersonal, collaboration and communication skills essential, with the ability to write clear test plans and test cases, and to communicate bugs to developers and business partners.
Must have basic knowledge of HTML, SQL, .net, ASP.net; an understanding of systems development life cycle (SDLC); and familiarity with quality assurance principles, inspection techniques and testing procedures.
5.Proficiency with MS Office and familiarity with issue tracking software programs essential.
