The Quality Assurance Analyst tests and quality assures all programs, application modules and products of moderate to high complexity created by the Development Department using systematic quality assurance techniques. The QA Analyst provides support for various modules to customers, peers and management with diagnostic troubleshooting assistance and strives to further organizational and company goals.

  • Test and validate program modules to meet specifications and standards.

  • Conduct thorough and accurate testing of client/server and web-based applications.

  • Validate all written documentation for assignments for accuracy and completion.

  • Validate releases prior to distribution.

  • Create and maintain test plans and test cases for all testing assignments.

  • Adhere to and assist in the development of standards and procedures.

  • Document software defects in the issue-tracking system and proactively communicate with software developers.

  • Provide guidance to new and existing staff in developing QA skills.

  • Assist in the identification of new procedures, methods and/or tools to improve the efficiency of the QA process.

  • Assist in the design and requirements for new products.

  • Provide analysis and consulting support for development and support employees.

  • Assist in the training of other QA staff through formal classes when new processes are introduced to help ensure consistency throughout the department.

  • Gain proficiency in multiple Energov products and multiple product teams.

  • Identify manual test cases for test automation.

  • Execute automated test scripts and evaluate results.

  • Stay abreast of changes in the company's computer environment including such areas as operating systems, utilities and hardware.

  • Remain up-to-date with QA industry standards, principles and practices.

  • Work directly with clients for gathering information to be used for product design or for diagnosing urgent issues

The QA Analyst must be able to:

  • Stay abreast of the latest trends in software development and quality assurance.

  • Work directly with customers to help diagnose urgent issues.


  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Sciences, Management Information Science, or Business. Equivalent work experience may substitute for degree requirement.

  • Prior experience in software quality assurance required; Tyler software or related experience helpful.

  • Solid analytical and problem solving skills involving sound decision making and effective resolutions.

  • Solid understanding of QA testing methodologies and practices preferred.

  • Familiarity with basic coding and/or scripting is required.

  • Full software development lifecycle familiarity is strongly preferred.

  • Keen attention to detail.

  • Strong planning and organizational skills involving the ability to manage multiple work streams effectively.

  • Strong time management skills with proven track record of delivering successful results.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills involving the ability to communicate verbally and in writing technical and non-technical information.

  • Firm knowledge and experience with relational databases including solid knowledge and understanding of SQL and query writing.

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office.

  • Ability to work independently as well as collaborate in a team.

  • Ability to maintain a test environment effectively with regards to products, tools, data and related aspects.

  • Ability to be effective in a fast paced environment.

  • Mobile Application Experience will be very helpful, testing iPad, Surface Tablets app, iPhone & Android Phone Apps.

Responsible for a team that currently includes up to 5 Managers and more than 50 Project Managers and Consultants, the Sr. Manager is responsible for delivery on annual revenue of $10+M. We are looking for a high functioning individual that can build and manage teams to support complex sales and deliver projects ranging from 150 hours to thousands of hours. This individual will participate in the establishment, communication and execution of strategy for the professional services team that will result in division wide revenue growth and expanding profit margins. The Sr. Manager will also assist in creating and maintaining alignment across other Professional services segments, EnerGov departments and Tyler Technologies product lines. The Senior Manager reports to the Vice President, Professional Service for EnerGov. Location Duluth, Georgia Travel 25-30% ResponsibilitiesLeadership Responsibilities: * Quickly understand and align with divisional revenue and margin goals and objectives * Increase and measure revenue growth, profitability, margin, and customer satisfaction * Seek ways to continuously improve the Professional Services Team to improve the efficiencies of implementations. * Provide thought leadership regarding trends, technologies and the needs of customers. * Develop a mentoring strategy to grow new professional services resources into experienced consultants, project managers, and implementation managers. * Recruit, lead, build, cultivate and manage a best-in-class professional services team. Customer Satisfaction Responsibilities: * Improve customer satisfaction so that implementations can be highlighted (featured) in the sales process with customers. * Prepare the professional services team to handle larger more complex customer software implementations in addition to maximizing efficiency for the low end less complex implementations. * Regularly evaluate internal and external customer satisfaction then create strategies to continually upgrade the quality of service. * Embrace change / stay in constant transformation. * Resolve all customer (internal and external) implementation challenges by training the professional services team on effective communication, problem resolution, setting proper expectations and follow through on resolution. Service Creation Responsibilities: * Create and deliver quality professional services. * Establish, maintain a metrics driven approach to risk management for project portfolio. * Working with the VP of Professional Services, collaborate with sales to adopt/offer more/different service offerings. * Continually adapt to new products. Financial Responsibilities: * Manage assigned portion of the P&L to meet revenue, expense and margin objectives/targets. Work across all segments to identify opportunities and risks associated with the P&L in order to drive effective decision making. * Track operational data including, but not limited to utilization, revenue and profitability. Leverage data to make decisions to continuously improve staff management and implementation approach. * Measure efficiency across entire team operations, execution, delivery, customer contracts, planning, budgeting/forecasting, revenue tracking, and implementation management. * Insure accurate budgeting, forecasting, and planning according to the vision/strategy/objectives. * Assist the sales and development teams (when needed and appropriate) in key contract negotiations. * Monitor and measure profitability by project. Administration Responsibilities: * Conduct performance management evaluations of staff in accordance with the Divisional Performance Factors (performance evaluations, discipline, hiring/firing, compensation) and timelines * Evaluate/enhance/update and enforce all policies/procedures to identify inefficiencies and potential threats/problems. * Other duties as needed / assigned. Qualifications * 10+ years of software implementation management experience within a software company. * Working knowledge of Tyler products a plus.
