Job Profile Summary

Our client is actively working on the Medicaid Enterprise Systems Centralized Recipient Eligibility System (MES-CARES). The goal is to incorporate significant changes to the eligibility determination criteria for Medicaid and the Department of Health Children's Health Insurance Program (CHIP).

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Develop testing procedures and implement various types of tests to include functional, integration, regression and performance tests.

  • Identify bugs through systematic manual and or automated testing of systems and application software.

  • Evaluate the testing load and recommend improvements in the validation strategy.

  • Collaborate with the development team to understand features, help reproduce errors and ensure defects are resolved.


Experience/Education Required

  • 4 years experience in testing environment.

  • 4 plus years in testing environment

  • 4 plus years developing software tests for functional, performance and regression testing that include automated, ad-hoc, and manual testing elements.

  • 4 plus years in doing performance testing also includes load, stress and spike testing.

  • Experience with Scrum/Agile development methodologies.

  • Experience to develop automated tests to use for regression and unit testing.

  • Experience with State Government, Medicaid, CHIP, and DHR business area or health care industry.

  • 2+ years C# coding experience.

  • In-depth knowledge of testing Web-based applications

  • Strong test planning and test case development skills.

  • Knowledge of Systems Development Life Cycle.

  • Good understanding of Software Design Patterns.

  • Good understanding of object-oriented programming.

  • Work closely with other developers or and analysts within the team and across teams.

  • Collaborate with SMEs to scope opportunities, identify constraints, and help mitigate risks

  • Ability to work on multiple tasks simultaneously.

  • Ability to break down prioritized requirements into individual sprints

  • Strong knowledge of version control software such as Team Foundation Server.

  • Solid written and verbal communication skills.

Physical Demands

  • Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA and other federal, state and local standards

  • Sedentary work that involves sitting or remaining stationary most of the time with occasional need to move around the office to attend meetings, etc.

  • Ability to conduct repetitive tasks on a computer, utilizing a mouse, keyboard and monitor

The Accessibility Quality Assurance Engineer will report to the Accessibility Quality Assurance Manager and will be responsible for accessibility product evaluations, quality assurance testing with assistive technology, and tracking the status of issues reported on the accessibility of Pearson Assessments products. Major Responsibilities * Conduct accessibility product conformance evaluations for various Pearson exams, forms, websites or other products. * Partner with colleagues with disabilities to complete paired assistive technology testing for various Pearson exams, forms, websites or other products. * Conduct quality assurance testing with assistive technologies for various exams and products. * Create Accessibility Issues Reports (AIR). * Maintain documentation for tracking the accessibility of products. * Work collaboratively with other Pearson employees to prioritize accessibility projects and maintain up-to-date accessibility records. * Provide formal and informal accessibility training. * Provide internal accessibility consulting services to product teams on the best practices for accessibility. * Participate in efforts to refine business processes, including identifying gaps in processes and procedures that impact end-user experience or may represent potential business risk. * Create or update Accessibility Conformance Reports (ACR). * Some travel required. * Other duties as assigned. This position is eligible to participate in an annual incentive program.
