Quality Assurance Analyst, Associate

We are seeking a highly motivated individual to join our growing Landmark development team in the role of an Associate Quality Assurance Analyst. The Associate Quality Assurance Analyst will work with senior team members to evaluate and test software programs to verify that programs function according to design documentation and standards. You will help design and implement test plans and test scripts to ensure the overall quality of the product. You will assist with tasks necessary for measuring and evaluating product quality and performance. The Associate Quality Assurance Analyst will be required to assist the application teams in identifying and resolving problems. You will be joining a dynamic fast-paced cross-functional team composed of business analysts, developers, architects, product managers and quality assurance analysts delivering a world-class HCM ERP application.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assists in designing and implementing test scripts.

  • Conducts testing based on test scripts and test plan.

  • Identifies, reports, and documents defects found in testing to the Landmark development team.

  • Assists in solving problems arising during testing.

  • Maintains data needed to test.

  • Completes work in a timely and accurate manner.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

  • Minimum BA or BS Degree; Computer Science or Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.

  • This position requires a minimum of 1 year software quality assurance analysis and testing experience, or 3 years equivalent software experience.

REQUIRED SKILLS:

  • Strong troubleshooting and problem solving skills.

  • Demonstrated ability to track issues to completion.

  • Proven ability to recreate issues following documented procedures.

  • The ability to creatively design new tests and modify existing tests

  • Understanding of the Software Testing Life Cycle fundamentals.

  • Excellent communication skills.

  • The ability to work successfully within a team that includes Business Analysts and Developers.

  • Competent experience using Microsoft Word and Excel.

  • The ability to rapidly learn an application, new tools and techniques in order to become quickly productive.

PREFERRED SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE:

  • Experience working in an Agile software development project

  • Testing experience with Web based, cloud hosted enterprise software products

  • Experience in browser functionality testing

  • Experience working with defect management tools such as Jira

  • Expertise in Java, Selenium, and tools such as EggPlant or QTP

Preferred Qualifications: Knowledge of chemistry, molecular biology, immunology, genetics, and microbiology. Knowledge of the Clinical Laboratory Improvement Act (CLIA), CAP or ISO 15189 quality system regulations. Knowledge of general principles of quality control and quality assurance. Problem solving skills sufficient to address problems related to CLIA compliance. Interpersonal skills, including effective written and verbal communication skills involving a broad range of clients, both within and outside the agency with demonstrated effectiveness in engaging, leading and sustaining multiple diverse relationships. Knowledge of analytical procedures and instrumentation. Ability to review detailed information, particularly laboratory data and quality assurance documents. Ability to evaluate proposed quality assurance/control practices against established analytical standards and protocols and program needs. Ability to review analytical data in order to identify discrepancies to ensure that reanalysis is done in a timely manner Knowledge of auditing principles and procedures of the CLIA standard. Ability to research, organize, execute and evaluate analytical activities independently and to correlate findings from a variety of scientific disciplines.
