Job Description

PrideStaff, a recruiting firm specializing in staffing for Central Oregon businesses, is seeking a Quality Associate for a fun and unique company in Bend. A successful candidate for this position will have a high attention to detail, experience with hand tools, and looking for a team-oriented environment. This position is full time, Monday-Thursday.

Quality Associate duties include:

  • Mix products based on a computerized formula and time table
  • Perform visual inspection duties and correct as needed
  • Effectively using hand tools, power tools, and other machinery
  • Maintains inventory controls by collecting accurate counting and pulling correct product to fill orders
  • Maintains quality service by following organization standards
  • Maintain production flow and high quality of work
  • Following oral and written specifications
  • Working in a close team environment

Job Requirements:

  • Recent work experience in a similar, detail-oriented position
  • High attention to detail for accuracy
  • Ability to work in a fast paced and changing environment
  • Passion for the work being done and quality of work being produced
  • Frequent squatting, bending, twisting reaching and continuous standing and walking
  • Basic math and computer skills
  • Able to lift up to 50 lbs throughout the day
  • Provide 2 professional references

Supervision:This position has direct supervision. Teamwork is essential to work towards a common goal.

Basic working conditions:The employee must have their own method of dependable transportation and work full time. The employee must be able to work successfully in a team. The employee must be able to stand, stoop, or crouch for long periods of time.

VIEW JOBS 7/13/2018 12:00:00 AM 2018-10-11T00:00 Overview Reporting to the Quality Supervisor this role is primarily responsible for conducting routine tests and inspections on machined, fabricated steel parts, assisting with data collection and performing First Article and In Process Inspections. The Quality Technician participates in the development of standardized work instructions, conducts functional tests, and develops inspection templates. Responsibilities * Make visual, dimensional or mechanical tests of materials, processes, assemblies or sub assemblies. * Create and submit PPAP documents. * Participates in gage studies, and assists in the development of standardized work instructions. * Examines and investigates information contained in quality control documents, verifies completeness and accuracy of data, and keeps files current. * Confers with document originators or quality control personnel to resolve questions, inconsistencies or missing data and compiles required changes to documents. * Count or estimate quantities of materials, parts, or products received or shipped. * Measures using equipment such as calipers to ensure that a part meets specifications * Ensure compliance with corporate and plant safety standards. * Other duties as assigned. Qualifications * Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills. * Must have previous experience running CMM's. * Demonstrated blueprint reading capability, geometric dimensioning and tolerance (GD&T), familiarity with USO requirements and procedures, tool calibration experience, and knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Access and PowerPoint) * Ability to efficiently work in a team and coordinate work with other departments. * Aptitude to take orders and execute the same efficiently * Demonstrated detail orientation, self motivation skills and ability to multi-task * An Associates degree in related field or a combination of work experience related to quality control. * Previous experience working within a highly technical environment * Previous exposure to Quality Systems, PPAP systems, FARO measuring arms and PC DMIS software. * Statistical process control (SPC) experience is preferred.
