Job Description

PrideStaff, a recruiting firm specializing in staffing for Central Oregon businesses, is seeking a Quality Associate for a fun and unique company in Bend. A successful candidate for this position will have a high attention to detail, experience with hand tools, and looking for a team-oriented environment. This position is full time, Monday-Thursday.

Quality Associate duties include:

  • Mix products based on a computerized formula and time table
  • Perform visual inspection duties and correct as needed
  • Effectively using hand tools, power tools, and other machinery
  • Maintains inventory controls by collecting accurate counting and pulling correct product to fill orders
  • Maintains quality service by following organization standards
  • Maintain production flow and high quality of work
  • Following oral and written specifications
  • Working in a close team environment

Job Requirements:

  • Recent work experience in a similar, detail-oriented position
  • High attention to detail for accuracy
  • Ability to work in a fast paced and changing environment
  • Passion for the work being done and quality of work being produced
  • Frequent squatting, bending, twisting reaching and continuous standing and walking
  • Basic math and computer skills
  • Able to lift up to 50 lbs throughout the day
  • Provide 2 professional references

Supervision:This position has direct supervision. Teamwork is essential to work towards a common goal.

Basic working conditions:The employee must have their own method of dependable transportation and work full time. The employee must be able to work successfully in a team. The employee must be able to stand, stoop, or crouch for long periods of time.

VIEW JOBS 11/11/2018 12:00:00 AM 2019-02-09T00:00 DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Federal-Mogul Powertrain is looking for an experienced Quality Assurance Engineer responsible for analyzing engineering specifications and monitoring operational processes to develop and install quality control and or assurance methods, practices and procedures for a designated area or operation in our plant in South Bend, IN. An ideal candidate would be an experienced and degreed Quality Engineer who has worked in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This person will report to the Operations Manager or Quality Manager and will become a valued member of our Quality team therefore, opportunities for advancement are strong. We are ready to act immediately on those candidates who are the best fit for the role. You'll first hear from someone in Talent Acquisition to schedule a phone screen, and then the next step will be a personal interview with our Hiring Manager. We pride ourselves on moving through processes quickly. RESPONSIBILITIES: * Analyzing engineering specifications and monitoring operational processes to develop and install quality control and or assurance methods, practices and procedures for a designated area or operation in our plant * Recommend dimensions and characteristics to be inspected and techniques to be followed. * Participates in developing and maintaining TS16949 policies and procedures. * Leads / Participates /Assists in F.M.E.A. (Failure Mode Effects Analysis) groups and FMTiPS Teams with problem analysis and reporting. * Participates in advanced quality planning committees and associated activities. * TS compliance for their own area and scope of work. * Defines all customer specific requirements to the site. * APQP representative for all projects for customers. * New product launch - coordination with Quality Engineer-Production. * PPAP submissions and coordination. * Manage GP12 activities. REQUIREMENTS: Education: Bachelor's degree with two (2) years of manufacturing experience and one (1) year in quality or relevant experience in the automotive or related industry preferred. Automotive industry a plus. Skills & Experience: * Able to clearly communicate with employees and customers. * Good mathematical and computer (PC) skills. * Able to maintain confidentiality of information. * Able to travel.
