DUTIES:

This role is responsible for the management of the Quality System concepts and efforts at the plant level. Requirements and responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Experience working with ISO9001, ISO14001, and ISO18001

  • Manages and provides leadership for product testing.

  • Participates with customers QA representative to provide customer satisfaction.

  • Assists in resolving issues with defective parts / Materials.

  • Assists in the training and coaching of Quality Technicians.

  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principals and promoting continuous improvement.

  • Determining, negotiating and agreeing in-house quality procedures, standards and/or specifications

  • Assessing customer requirements and ensuring that these are met

  • Setting customer service standards which includes performing failure analysis and writing corrective action reports.

  • Follow up on quality defect and implement corrective action.

  • Work with Purchasing and Materials to specify quality requirements of raw materials with suppliers

  • Investigating and setting standards for quality/health and safety

  • Working with operating staff to establish procedures, standards, systems and procedures

  • Act as a catalyst for change and improvement in performance/quality

  • Directing objectives to maximize profitability

  • Recording, analyzing and distributing statistical information

  • Monitoring performance of group

  • Supervising technical or laboratory staff.

  • Ensure Company compliance with OSHA regulations

  • Perform incident investigation

  • Establish processes for continuously improving safety performance

  • Conduct audits/inspections and communicate results

  • Develops and keeps current safety equipment inspection and testing programs

  • Prepares weekly and monthly reports as directed

This job might be for you if:

Qualifications:

Sound knowledge of Low Voltage and Medium Voltage Switchgear equipment. Ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications, and wiring diagrams of high complexity. Ability to troubleshoot devices electrically and mechanically, and working knowledge of general purpose test equipment. ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and UL891 compliance experience is a plus. Must be customer focused, an excellent team player, and able to lead and train junior teammates.

REQUIREMENTS:
1.A Bachelor's degree in business, engineering or related field desired.
2.Strong background with quality management and safe work processes
3.Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communications skills
4.Must have strong organizational skills; be self-motivated and ability to motivate others
5.Ability to handle multiple tasks and changing priorities concurrently

Loss Control Representative (Remote) Does your work experience include loss control / risk and safety management with a commercial insurance carrier or construction? Do you have familiarity with Worker's Compensation, commercial auto, farm insurance and/or general liability? As an American National Loss Control Representative, you will work from your home base (Connecticut, Massachusetts, Vermont, New Jersey, and upstate New York area(s) preferred) and travel within an assigned territory to service accounts. You will be responsible for educating and training policyholders, agents, and home office team(s) concerning loss mitigation; Providing detailed action programs and recommendations, while continually building positive and professional relationships, and offering ongoing consultative support. Responsibilities * Concentrating on company commercial property and casualty business lines including property, general liability, auto and workers compensation * Delivering high quality risk evaluations and loss analysis of prospective or existing policyholders to identify risks, exposures, and controls while reporting results to underwriting * Conduct inspection and risk analysis of renewal and new business accounts * Objectively consider issues and information-Identifying alternatives and implementing solutions to deliver service and provide value * Conduct quality reviews on current vendor loss control reports and assist in the selection of outside loss control vendors to ensure quality loss control services are delivered * Assist vendors in providing loss control materials and services-Aid in interpreting vendor recommendations for both insureds and underwriters * Apply knowledge of negotiating techniques, subject matter, and strategy to obtain commitment, compromise, or settlement that promotes mutual goals Qualifications * Associates or Bachelor's degree in related field such as safety management, insurance and risk management preferred, or equivalent industry experience considered * (3-5) years' work experience in safety management and/or insurance loss control desired * Have ability to regularly sit, lift, climb ladders, climb stairs, and drive for extended periods of time * General knowledge of the insurance industry: Construction, functions of a loss control department, federal D.O.T. and OSHA regulations and commercial insurance claims handling procedures -Beneficial * Must have the ability to read and interpret insurance company loss runs, along with DOT, OSHA, and NFPA guidelines * Familiarity with valuation systems * Possess a valid U.S. driver's license, with acceptable driving record * Certifications such as CSP, ARM, OHST, AINS, and CDS a plus, but not required * Basic computer skills to produce routine internal and external reports including formation of charts and graphs * Must have the ability to communicate in front of small and large groups to provide safety/loss control related information * Must have strong customer service focus and possess the ability to effectively negotiate and resolve issues * Ability to work independently, effectively plan, and organize work * Ability to travel weekly including some overnights as needed Hiring Practices The preceding job posting has been designed to indicate the general nature and level of work performed by employees assigned to this role.
