We are currently seeking a full-time Quality and Safety Coordinator to join our dynamic team. This individual will assist the Senior Director of Nursing, CMO, and Quality & Safety by analyzing data through EMR to identify, resolve and improve processes and outcomes to provide effective health care. Monday

  • Friday, 8:00am

  • 5:00pm. This is a remote/virtual opportunity; however, we prefer an individual who resides in the San Antonio area; minimal travel within San Antonio and other locations is required. Bachelor's degree, registered nursing degree preferred; Registered Nurse license required (Texas) compact license preferred. BLS is also required.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Compile, model, validate and analyze data needed through EMR

  • Use data to create trends to be able to present and make well-informed decisions

  • Develop initiatives to provide effective health care or resolve current issues

  • Design new approaches for health care

  • Develop needed reports for upper-level management

  • Prepare weekly/monthly status reports

  • Analyze, research and report on quality improvement activities to meet established guidelines

  • Support initial and ongoing efforts for accreditation or other quality programs as needed for the organization

  • Perform quality audits on assessments to improve outcomes and processes, as well as ensure adherence to policies and procedures

  • Organize and perform focused studies to identify trends, develop recommendations and guide quality improvement activities

  • Conduct regular quality training sessions with staff

  • Assist with compliance research, documentation and reporting

  • Identify opportunities for improvement through analysis of data, observation of operations and consultation with leadership, staff and EMR

  • Provide education and coaching in order to build performance improvement

  • Assist in creating processes to design performance improvement projects

  • Identify resources and tools to support improvement efforts

  • Identify potential barriers to the success of performance improvement

  • Perform other duties as necessary or assigned

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations Required:

  • Registered Nurse license required in state where services are provided, compact license preferred.
  • BLS required

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Extensive experience working with electronical medical records

  • Healthcare industry experience is essential

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree, registered nursing degree preferred.

Physical Requirements:

  • The team member is frequently required to stand, walk, sit, stoop, kneel, or crouch.

  • The team member may regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, with occasional lifting of up to 25 pounds.
