Flow Dry seeks a Quality and Environmental System Manager. This individual will report directly to the President and supervise one APQP Engineer. This individual will maintain strong dotted line relationships with the operations leaders at our sites, each of which are staffed with local Quality personnel. Acting on behalf of the President, this individual will be responsible for ensuring our facilities manufacture excellent product in compliance with registration body standards and customer standards.

Responsibilities

Drive Compliance to Registration Systems

  • Refine and maintain the Flow Dry Quality System to ensure 1) it is compliant with registration body requirements and 2) easy to understand and execute.

  • Manage and ensure readiness for ISO, IATF, VDA and customer audits, partnering with each of our site leaders to ensure their operations are prepared.

  • Lead and train colleagues in internal audit as required.

  • Organize and facilitate Quality System Management Review. Lead organization in ensuring continuous improvement on Quality metrics.

Drive Compliance with Customer Requirements

  • Critically read customer Quality manuals to ensure we understand requirements and are prepared to meet them. Partner with customers as required to modify Quality requirements to ensure they are appropriate for the desiccant industry. Partner with operations to ensure that we launch new programs smoothly and do what we say we will do to ensure Quality.

  • Review customer Quality scorecards monthly, briefing management team on areas of strength and opportunities for improvement.

  • Respond to customer quality concerns with excellent customer service. In the event of a major complaint, partner with the local site team to ensure excellence and timeliness in resolution.

Drive Improved Environmental Performance

  • Establish framework for measuring waste and emissions.

  • Identify opportunities to reduce waste and emissions.

  • Execute on opportunities to reduce waste and emissions in collaboration with site operations teams.

Other responsibilities as required

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or a related field

  • 8+ years of experience in Quality Engineering in the automotive industry, including experience both launching new products and driving excellence in the manufacture of existing products

  • Knowledge of international quality standards (ISO/IATF/VDA); audit experience preferred

  • Up to 10% travel

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills

  • Proficiency in Excel and Powerpoint

  • Note that environmental performance responsibilities may be executed with the support of external consultants. This individual should be a Quality expert first-but will have oversight over emissions tracking systems because they are increasingly becoming a component of customer requirements.
