Job Overview

TE Connectivity's Quality Assurance Teams are responsible for all or part of an organization's Quality Management System, including conformance and continuous improvement initiatives. They work on systemic evaluation of products, services, facilities, manufacturing or business processes, to ensure that standards of quality are being met. Develop and implement quality plans, programs and procedures using quality control statistics, lean manufacturing concepts, and six-sigma tools and analyses. They reviews, analyze and report on quality discrepancies, investigate problems and executes quality audits, and develops disposition and corrective actions for recurring discrepancies. The team works closely with manufacturing, engineering, customers, or suppliers and subcontractors to ensure requirements are met.

  • Responsible for international distribution

  • Managing inbound product shipments and customer returns

  • Ensuring product requirements are entered correctly into the system

  • Periodically audit customer information

  • Ensure customer returns and shipment are sent on time

  • Responsible for the Mount Joy Plant's gauge calibration system

  • Maintain the calibration and gauge calendar

  • Ensure timely completion of gauge calibration

  • Assign gauge responsibilities to quality technicians, production operators, etc.

  • Laise with 3rd party vendors to ensure timeliness and effectiveness of calibrations

  • Assist in the coordination of UL/CSA audits

  • Support new hire quality orientation

  • General quality support to Quality Engineering function

  • Other duties as needed

What your background should look like:

  • This position requires access to information which is subject to stringent controls under the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) or Export Administration Regulations (EAR). Applicants must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. lawful permanent resident, person granted asylee status in the U.S., or person admitted into the U.S. as a refugee.

  • 2+ years' experience in manufacturing, ideally 1+ year experience with calibration tools

  • MS Office software competency

  • Must be proficient in the English language

Job Overview TE Connectivity has a new Quality Inspector opening for our manufacturing plant in Mount Joy, PA. This is a first shift job opportunity with working hours of Monday - Friday 6:30 AM - 3.00 PM with a 30 minute unpaid lunch break. The successful candidate will have prior similar experience of inspecting small parts and must be comfortable wearing safety glasses with side shields during 8 hour shift. Responsibilities: * Perform final inspections on machine components * Use standard inspection equipment including microscopes, RAM and OGP * Inspect product from production or suppliers * Perform Inspection on Deliveries shipping to customers to ensure that all the Quality requirements are met. * Setup, and operate measuring systems to determine whether parts meet print dimensions * Establish daily priorities and determine the most important tasks to perform at any given time of the day * Use various software applications including Windows, Outlook, Excel, Word * Ability to send and receive data instructions via E-mail using the above applications * Communicate the results of inspections to Engineering, Inspection and Management * Ability to work and train inspectors and other personnel on use of the OGP and RAM or other standard measurement equipment * Work with production personnel to trouble shoot and problem solve issues related to inspection of components or other similar problems What your background should look like: * High School Diploma or GED required. * Minimum 1 year relevant experience in a production environment. * Experience with similar products (electronics, connectors, other electromechanical products) preferred. * Must be able to read and interpret prints. * Good interpersonal and communication skills * Ability to work independently * Must be able to lift 50 lbs. * Must be able to stand for a period of 2 hrs. * Knowledge of SAP is preferred but not required This position requires access to information which is subject to stringent controls under the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) or Export Administration Regulations (EAR).
