Job Title: Quality Analyst I

Seeking a Quality Lab Technician for a large manufacturing food company in the Columbus, OH area.

Job Description

Join our team as a Quality Analyst I, where you will be an integral part of our Quality Lab. You will conduct various product tests including pH testing, viscosity testing, density, % solids, and weighing samples.

Additionally, you will ensure the cleanliness of equipment by swabbing before production starts, assist with microbiological swabbing, and participate in the environmental pathogen monitoring program. Your role will also encompass following established work practices in the Quality Assurance manual, comparing test results to standards, reporting any processing or packaging line problems immediately, maintaining an organized sample collection, managing inventory of lab-prepared colors and flavors, ensuring lab cleanliness, performing equipment calibrations, adhering to plant GMPs, following Good Laboratory Practices, and upholding safety guidelines. You will also monitor critical control points and ensure compliance with quality, food safety, and HACCP support programs.

Work Environment

The lab environment can be loud with strong food smells, fostering a team-oriented and family-like culture. The lab is compact, requiring you to work closely with a few other technicians and report directly to the supervisor.

The dress code is casual, typically a t-shirt and jeans, and a lab coat will be provided upon hire. Please note that no jewelry, watches, false eyelashes, fingernail polish, plastic bobby pins, or similar items are allowed.
