The Quality Analyst will be responsible for ensuring process and product quality from our suppliers. The Quality Analyst will be coordinating non-conformance submission in the Quality Management Systems (QT9). This person will also be responsible for working with the suppliers to improve overall quality and coordinating supplier site visits to ensure they are following the agree upon Fives quality standards. The Quality Analyst role will perform root cause analysis and corrective action to resolve the quality issues permanently. The Quality Analyst will also be responsible for collecting and analyzing quality data to set Key Performance Indicators (KPI) to help improve overall supplier and Fives quality.
In-Shop Assembly support for quality issues. This include fabrication and non-fabricated components such as rollers, motors and drives.
Collect quality data for inbound receipts and outbound assembly to identify and review trends in quality
Work closely with suppliers to ensure Fives quality standard is meet by performing quarterly site visits. This includes presenting supplier specific quality metrics and performing supplier audits
Used measuring tool devices to determine if the product is within Fives quality and engineering specification.
Responsible for management of quality hold area. Track and minimize quality hold inventory and reduce scrap.
Work with In-Shop assembly team to determine root cause of a quality issues and coordinate supplier rework
Work with production assembly team to identify production improvements to increase productivity and minimize quality issues during assembly.
Work to identify root causes of non-conforming products and determine solutions to permanently resolve quality issues
Track rework cost and identify methods to reduce in-shop rework.
Provide feedback to the operations on quality and safety concerns
Manage quality issues feedback loop from assembly shop and on-site field construction manager to improve in-shop assembly process to vendor product quality.
Manage RMA (Return Material Authorization) quality process to analysis and determine quality issues.
Department engagement includes but not limited to : Assembly, Production, Product Engineering, Quality, Procurement, Supply Chain, Customer Service
Education and Experiences
Minimum of three (3) years of experience in a Quality Control or Quality Assurance function
Associates Degree in Manufacturing / Quality or similar fields is desirable (Bachelor's Degree Preferred)
Working knowledge of ISO 9001 requirements and relevant industry standard practices is desirable
Proactive in identifying issues and raising concerns to the right management level
Be able to work independently and self motivated
Proven proficiency in data analysis, analytical interpretation, methodology, and statistical analysis.
Exposure to MRP and ERP system (SAP preferred)
Demonstrated understanding of Lean concepts, Green Belt or higher is a plus
Working knowledge of Mechanical Measuring Instruments
Strong proficiently in Microsoft Office and other computer software including:
Excel (Sorting / Filter / Charts / Pivot tables)
Strong proficiency in creating summary reports and charts
