While reporting to the Quality Manager, you will be responsible for problem solving to ensure the quality expectations of every customer, both internal and external. Measuring critical product/process variables, records or reports using appropriate tools and utilizing information to continuously improve.

What you'll be doing:

  • Actively participating on the Quality team, as well as with various plant and staff groups as they report on quality metrics & initiatives.

  • Collecting and analyzing quality related data from production or service functions and reports these data using statistical techniques.

  • Supporting functions of the laboratory, along with supporting production and running of product.

  • Participating and leading the investigation of customer complaints and supplier complaints.

  • Leading investigations and research into issues, and finding trends with these to determine larger problems prior to them becoming problematic.

  • Performing auxiliary production support tasks (Example: color standards) that will aid in the running of quality material and working to prevent simple failures.

  • Working to develop testing and standards that will increase the quality of the product produced, and increase consistency in test methods &/or floor procedures that directly affect the quality of the product.

  • Coordinating with Product Safety Team to ensure GFSI audits are managed.

  • Participating in the SPS at the plant and have continued presence and participation in the Continuous Improvement movement at the facility.

  • Recommendations and reporting on trends, changes to formats

Shift: We have second (3 pm - 11 pm) shift available.

  • We expect you to be Sonoco mission driven

  • We would like for you to have at least a 4 year degree or equivalent work experience.

  • We want you to have at least 5 years of work experience or project management experience.

  • ASQ/CQPA Certifications a plus

  • We expect you to have excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Working independently and managing multiple tasks simultaneously is needed.

  • This position requires a high degree of versatility, independence, and initiative, as well as the ability to work effectively both vertically and horizontally across the organization.

  • You will need to have excellent analytical skills with knowledge of statistics and root cause correction action investigations.

  • You need to have working knowledge of our products and their quality requirements.

  • Proficiency and knowledge of Word, Power Point, Excel, MS Project, Visio, SharePoint and Agile.

  • Being reliable, having good initiative, being committed, and being quality focused is a must.

  • Having the ability to effectively work with a team in a fast-paced environment is crucial to success.

In 2020, ODM introduced a new vision for Ohio's Medicaid program -- one that strengthens Ohio's future and ensures everyone has the chance to live life to its full potential. Today, more than 90 percent of Ohio Medicaid members are supported by managed care organizations. During the year ahead, ODM will begin implementing a new vision for care; focusing on the individual, a strong partnership among MCOs and the department, and supporting specialization in addressing critical needs. A program that puts the individual first Adopting Governor DeWine's philosophy of service to Ohioans, ODM embarked on an aggressive effort to redesign its managed care program. The goal is to provide more personal, holistic care and supports for millions of Ohioans served by Medicaid. Listening to feedback from more than 1,100 individuals and organizations we identified five procurement goals that would put the individual front and center of Medicaid's program and policy decisions. Office: Managed Care Bureau: Integrated Care Classification: Medicaid Health Systems Administrator 1 (PN 20096396) Job Overview: As the MyCare Ohio Administrator in the Office of Managed Care, Ohio Department of Medicaid (ODM), your responsibilities will include: * Liaison with Medicare Medicaid Coordinator Office at Centers for Medicare and Medicaid * Stakeholder outreach and constituent inquiries * Managing MyCare specific relationship with the Office of the Long-term Care Ombudsman * Researching state and federal law * Monitoring managed care plans' compliance with CMS-Ohio 3-way Agreement and the Medicaid Provider Agreement * Managing Ohio's Dual Eligible Special Needs Plans contracts Completion of graduate core program in business, management or public administration, public health, health administration, social or behavioral science or public finance; 12 mos. exp. in the delivery of a health services program or health services project management (e.g., health care data analysis, health services contract management, health care market & financial expertise; health services program communication; health services budget development, HMO & hospital rate development, health services eligibility, health services data base analysis).
