Role: Qualified Mental Health Professional
Position Title: Clinical Support Specialist QMHP
Classification: Full-time, Exempt
Available Shifts: B Shift, 2:30pm
Reports to: Clinical Program Supervisor
Location: Richmond, TX

Position Description:
The Clinical Support Specialist QMHP works directly with the Residential Treatment Clinical Team and program staff at the Residential Treatment Center to assist with reinforcing a trauma-informed approach to intervention. The Clinical Support Specialist QMHP will provide assistance with crisis intervention, while modeling therapeutic interventions and engagement that promote learning and enhance connections. This position includes implementation of specialty groups and activities designed to promote growth and develop/reinforce skills associated with treatment goals.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelors in a human services related field required, special education, educational psychology, early childhood education/intervention.
Must be 21 years of age.
Certification/Trainings required as a condition of employment once hired.
First Aid and CPR Certification
Therapeutic Crisis Intervention (TCI)
QMHP training and certification
Trust Based Relational Interventions (TBRI)
Preferred Qualifications:
Minimum one (1) years' experience with crisis intervention.
Minimum one (1) years' experience in a therapeutic setting with children and adolescents.
Experience and training in Trauma Informed Care (TIC).
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Must have excellent written and oral communication skills.
Ability to understand and navigate electronic charting systems, as well as general proficiency with programs including Microsoft Word, Outlook, Power Point and Excel.
Ability to maintain a professional, confidential work environment.
Ability to work with culturally diverse populations and work force and positively collaborate with colleagues.
Ability to work flexible hours which vary according to client needs.
Ability to observe and interpret situations as well as learn and apply new information or skills.
Ability to perform detailed work on multiple, concurrent tasks.
Demonstrates above-average problem-solving and conflict resolution skills.
Ability to and comfort with providing constructive feedback, coaching and direction with colleagues.
Ability to adapt to quickly changing situations and employ decision-making with confidence.
Ability to work with a degree of autonomy while still meeting objectives and adhering to established guidelines.
