Position Summary

Assists Quality System/Regulatory Compliance (QS/RC) and Analyst(s) to ensure external and internal Customer requirements are met according to documented and communicated policies and procedures.


  • Based on established procedures, is responsible for the review and approval of processing files prior to product processing. The review ensures accurate product codes for numbers, case count, and cycle specifications.

  • Based on established procedures, is responsible for the review of processing files after product processing, and prior to product release, in order to ensure processing parameters have been met.

  • Assists with the review of operating logs (spectrophotometer, gamma dose computational software log, pre-conditioning, aeration and maintenance) to ensure timely and accurate record keeping processes.

  • Based on established procedures, assists with the review and maintenance of calibration records to ensure calibration is performed properly and in a timely manner.

  • Assists in the establishment of appropriate policies and procedures, as well as revision and maintenance of the My Isomedix System.

  • Assists with writing deviations and documenting Customer concerns based on established Customer specifications and QS/RC policies and procedures.

  • With direction from the QS/RC Manager or Analyst, assists with corrective actions as required by process deviations, procedure deviations, complaints, regulatory audits, Customer audits, and internal audits.

  • With direction from the QS/RC Manager, prepares the monthly internal assessment report.

  • Contributes in a team effort by performing according to the guidelines outlined in the STERIS Code of Business Conduct, the GMP and other directives; supporting the directives and decisions of higher level management; accomplishing other duties as assigned.

  • Contributes to maintaining a safe and clean working environment by performing routine area housekeeping and reporting any unsafe conditions to facility management.

  • Exhibits a commitment to the AST shared values of Customer Satisfaction and Continuous Improvement through ensuring defect-free workmanship, assisting others to meet the Customer's needs, searching for efficient and effective ways to reduce waste, being active and accountable for Customer satisfaction, and satisfying the Customer's needs with a sense of urgency.

  • Contributes in a team effort by performing according to the guidelines outlined in the STERIS Code of Business Conduct, the GMP, Lean principles and other directives; supports the directives and decisions of higher level management and performs other duties as assigned.

VIEW JOBS 11/10/2019 12:00:00 AM 2020-02-08T00:00 United States of America - Minnesota, Minneapolis Job Summary The Central Midwest Area Cultural Resource Division of AECOM is actively seeking a creative, highly talented Archaeological Technician for temporary employment with our Minneapolis, MN office. However, the candidate could be working on various projects in the Upper Mid-West, or elsewhere on the Great Plains, including surveys, evaluative testing and data recovery projects, depending on staffing needs throughout the Central Region. This is a part-time variable position, meaning, work days and times will be determined on an as-needed basis. In most cases, this position reports to the Field Director or Archaeological Supervisor but must also be able to work effectively in both the field and laboratory, either independently or as part of a team. Responsibilities for this position include but are not limited to: * Conducting archaeological survey, shovel testing, investigations/excavations; screening and describing soil deposits. Preference will be given to candidates with 2-5 years field experience. * Documenting archaeological and historic resources. Must be able to take accurate field notes; draw accurate profiles and plan view sketches * The position may also require completing site forms, narrative site descriptions, and written contributions to reports. * Using a digital camera to photo-document artifacts, features, and sites and keeping an accurate photo log. * Processing artifacts (wash, mark and catalog) and performing basic analysis of artifacts * Working on complex and challenging projects with little senior assistance * Carrying out complex or novel assignments requiring the development of new and/or improved techniques and procedures * Consulting with supervisor concerning unusual problems and developments Minimum Requirements * High school diploma or equivalent * Prior experience assisting field technicians with implementing fieldwork protocols, data collection, field logistics * Extensive knowledge and understanding of equipment and technology used to perform recording of artifacts and archaeological surveys * Knowledge of basic field survey and excavation techniques, ability to process (wash, catalog and mark) recovered archaeological artifacts, properly fill out field and laboratory forms, perform extensive manual labor including excavation with shovels and moving buckets and wheelbarrows filled with dirt * Basic knowledge of GIS applications, Microsoft applications * Excellent work ethic and team-player attitude * Strong attention to detail, with proven ability to follow specific instructions * Ability to effectively express his or herself orally and in writing to other project staff * Ability to write well, including artifact, feature, site, and landscape descriptions * Basic computer skills; Microsoft Office applications * Position requires flexibility to travel overnight and out of state for up to 3+ months at a time. * Must pass a State and Federal criminal history/security background check; many projects/ clients are security sensitive. * Must pass pre-employment drug screen. * Must possess a valid driver's license and clean driving record. * Physically able, with or without an accommodation, to work in outdoor environments with uneven terrain, variable outdoor conditions including heat, cold, moisture, and dryness; position requires frequent repetitive bending & stooping, standing/walking, operation of vehicles, and lifting of less than 25 pounds; occasionally working with arms above shoulder level, power gripping/squeezing (hand tools, levers, etc.), working at heights, and performing repetitive or fine hand movements; rarely climbing stairs, working in an environment of heavy, moving, dangerous equipment, performing work in confined spaces, performing keyboard/mouse operations, working alone in isolated/remote areas, and lifting 25 - 75 pounds.
