Job Description:

The Quality Technician operates under the general supervision of the Quality Lead and is responsible for ensuring that Quality Control procedures, test methods, and standards are being followed as outlined by the specification guidelines of the company and its customers.
2nd shift: 3:00pm - 11:00pm Mon-Fri.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Participates in the establishment of Quality specifications and procedures for raw materials, work in process, and finished products by performing various tests as outlined in the procedure manuals.

  • Assists in quality inspection procedures as necessary in the pouching operations to ensure product conformance to specifications.

  • Performs Quality Inspection and any other test procedures that may be required to certify product conformance to specifications.

  • Responsible to prevent the further processing of non-conforming materials.

  • Insures the collection of samples throughout all phases of the operation in an organized manner.

  • Conducts inspection of quarantine materials to help determine disposition and disbursement.

  • Inputs data into the computer.

  • Perform other assignments as requested.

AUTHORITY:

  • May stop any machine or process not running according to standard operating procedures (SOP's), and/or established protocols.

  • May override floor personnel decision to "Not Run".

  • May reject any material not meeting specification.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

  • Persons holding this position should have a H.S. Diploma or equivalent and some technical aptitude. 1-2 Vocational or College Degree Preferred.

  • Knowledge of Quality Control and Quality Assurance Practices and Procedures

  • Ability to record daily results legibly and accurately is preferred.

VIEW JOBS 8/10/2019 12:00:00 AM 2019-11-08T00:00 The BSA/AML QC Analyst is responsible for supporting the FIU Enterprise Quality Control program, including periodic quality reviews within the FIU and across the company in order to meet the requirements of Bank Secrecy Act (BSA), Anti-Money Laundering (AML), USA PATRIOT Act, OFAC, and related regulatory functions of Atlantic Union Bankshares and related subsidiaries and affiliates. BSA/AML QC Analyst II supports training and communication efforts within the FIU and enterprise-wide as it relates to regulatory requirements and emerging trends. Position Accountabilities * Using BSA/AML and OFAC expertise, perform Quality Control Reviews on BSA department transactions and on line of business transactions. Track and report results to the FIU Management Team and line of business leaders. * Review procedures and processes related to BSA/AML/OFAC functions. Recommend changes in processes and procedures to the FIU Management team and line of business leaders. * Contribute to training materials and job aids supporting BSA, AML, OFAC and related regulatory requirements. * Prepares QC reports and tracks responses. May provide feedback to FIU teammates based on Quality Control Reviews. * Attend training seminars as deemed necessary at the direction of the FIU Enterprise Quality Supervisor. Participate in professional and community associations relating to Financial Investigations and related regulatory compliance. * Other duties as assigned. Organizational Relationship * Report to –Supervisor- FIU Enterprise Quality * Internal – Extensive contact with all Atlantic Union Bank and subsidiary lines of business. * External – None. * Supervision of Others – No Requirements Position Qualifications Education & Experience * Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice, Business or a related field is preferred, but not required. * Certification as a BSA/AML professional (i.e.: CAMS, CAFP, CFE) is preferred, but not required. * Must have a minimum of 3 years' demonstrated experience in BSA functions, AML functions, and OFAC functions, preferably in banking. Knowledge & Skills * Demonstrated knowledge of BSA, AML, and OFAC sufficient to QC and opine on the quality of department output. * Demonstrated ability to interact with management, vendors, and other business lines with tact and diplomacy while achieving stated objectives. * Advanced written, oral, data analytics, interpersonal and negotiating skills with ability to prepare and present QC reports and provide feedback. * Working knowledge of financial institution operations. Ability to research, analyze and recommend improved processes. * Ability to read, analyze and interpret government regulations, trade journals, legal documents, and technical documents. * Advanced PC skills including word processing, spreadsheet and database applications.
