Job Summary

The QC Intern position reports to the QC Group Leader. The QC Intern will work in a team responsible for QC Operation, documentation, sample management, lab testing and project management in the biopharmaceutical/pharmaceutical industry.

He/she will work closely with QC team members on Operation and Testing related activities. Demonstrates strong oral and written communication skills and actively contributes to training, report generation and documentation.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct QC document control, including but not limited to control and track all QC SOP, FORM, AMP, OJT number, and approval process in Master Control (MC) and paper-based.

  • Responsible for QC sample management, including receiving, aliquoting, distributing, tracking, and disposing of QC samples, reagent, and reference standards.

  • Support client project management in QC department as needed.

  • Ensure compliance to QC documentation and training requirements for Industry Standards and/or Regulations

  • Support to write/review SOP, protocols, final reports, investigations, and deviations as required.

  • Maintain/Issue laboratory notebooks and control paper for QC tests as needed.

  • Supports to set up raw material sampling and testing

  • Perform other tasks assigned by manager as needed to support QC operation.

Qualifications:

  • Possess knowledge and experience in QC documentation control and sample management of pharmaceutical industry, GMP, and FDA regulations.

  • Good at Microsoft Office software and document edit.

  • Detail-oriented and effective time management.

  • Strong thinking, planning and problem-solving skills.

  • Manage and handle multiple tasks to achieve department and site objectives.

  • Possess knowledge and experience in analytical operations.

  • Good communication skills both oral and written.

  • Experience with a wide-variety of software and information systems.

  • Be able to work independently as well as a good team player.

  • Problem Solving: Proven experience in risk mitigation planning and ability to solve complex QC technical and operation problems. Be able to make appropriate judgment decisions based on available knowledge and data to ensure the safety and success of the manufacturing support and product testing.

  • Proficiency in English is required.

  • Excellent communication skills (verbal, written, and presentation skills).

  • Must be able to collaborate with clients, internal stakeholders, and support functions to achieve alignment and work effectively.

  • Bachelor of Science or higher degree in Chemistry, Microbiology, Biochemistry or equivalent field.
