Continuous Improvement Auditor

Graphic Packaging International, Inc., headquartered in Atlanta, Georgia, is a leading provider of packaging solutions for a wide variety of products to food, beverage and other consumer products companies. The Company is one of the largest producers of folding cartons and holds a leading market position in coated-unbleached Kraft board and coated-recycled board. One of its facilities is currently seeking a Continuous Improvement Auditor. The position is located at the Fort Smith, Arkansas plant, which is part of the Consumer Products Division producing sheet fed cartons.

Position Purpose:

Perform required quality assurance testing as defined by plant management or customer specification. Interprets organization/customer requirements related to product specifications. Audit quality checks, coach associates on procedures and ensure procedure compliance.

Job Functions:

  • Perform and record quality assurance testing data in WinSPC

  • Perform SAP functions to hold and release defective product

  • Conduct defect training with production employees as required

  • Inspect product as required to ensure product meets customer expectations

  • Performs other organizational duties as required

  • Directly involved in responsibilities /actions related to Prerequisite and Food Safety Programs.

  • Maintain department integrity by complying with all Plant rules, Processes, Hygiene, and Allergens procedures, related to production of Safe Quality Foods.

  • Report to person of authority to record any potentially unsafe conditions which may result in customer complaints or noncompliance to SQF related procedures.

  • Participate in SQF Root Cause and Corrective Actions (from customer complaints, SQF audits, validation, and verification activities) as required.

  • In the absence of CI Auditor, daily responsibilities will be transferred to another qualified associate.

Requirements:

  • Knowledge
  • H.S. education or equivalent required
  • College degree preferred

  • Skill Requirements

  • Must have good color vision, attention to detail, good communication skills, computer knowledge of Excel, Word and SAP

Skill Desirables

  • Six Sigma Black Belt, Lean, quality experience in manufacturing
  • Meet Transfer policy requirements
