Trilogy Innovations is currently seeking a dynamic and experienced QA Test Engineer to provide remote support to our federal customer based in Cape May, NJ. This role serves in a critical role in the design, development, and implementation of digital twin solutions across various industries.

The QA Test Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, and executing test strategies and plans to ensure the quality, reliability, and performance of digital twin solutions across various industries. Possesses a strong background in software testing methodologies, test automation, and quality assurance practices, with a focus on driving continuous improvement and delivering high-quality software products that meet customer requirements and exceed expectations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Test Planning: Collaborate with stakeholders to define test objectives, requirements, and acceptance criteria for digital twin projects, ensuring alignment with project goals and customer expectations.

  • Test Design: Develop comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scenarios to validate digital twin functionalities, data integrity, and system performance under various conditions.

  • Test Execution: Execute manual and automated tests to verify the functionality, usability, and performance of digital twin systems, ensuring adherence to quality standards and project requirements.

  • Test Automation: Identify opportunities for test automation and develop automated test scripts and frameworks to streamline testing processes, improve efficiency, and increase test coverage.

  • Regression Testing: Implement regression testing strategies to validate system changes and updates, ensuring that new features do not introduce regressions or impact existing functionalities.

  • Integration Testing: Conduct integration testing to verify the interoperability and compatibility of digital twin solutions with external systems, APIs, and data sources.

  • Performance Testing: Perform performance testing and analysis to evaluate the scalability, responsiveness, and resource utilization of digital twin platforms, identifying and addressing performance bottlenecks.

  • Security Testing: Collaborate with security experts to conduct security testing and vulnerability assessments, ensuring that digital twin systems are resilient to security threats and compliance requirements.

  • Defect Management: Document and track defects, issues, and enhancement requests throughout the testing lifecycle, and work closely with development teams to ensure timely resolution and closure.

  • Reporting and Documentation: Prepare test reports, metrics, and documentation to communicate test results, findings, and recommendations to project stakeholders and management.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science, engineering, or related field.

  • Proven experience (3+ years) in software quality assurance and testing, with a focus on testing methodologies, techniques, and tools.

  • Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) methodologies, with experience in agile/scrum practices and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.

  • Proficiency in test automation tools and frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Appium, JUnit, TestNG) and scripting languages such as Python, Java, or JavaScript.

  • Experience with test management and defect tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, HP ALM, TestRail) for test planning, execution, and reporting.

  • Familiarity with cloud computing platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and services for testing in cloud environments.

  • Knowledge of software testing best practices, standards, and industry certifications (e.g., ISTQB) is desirable.

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify, prioritize, and troubleshoot issues effectively.

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams and adapt to a fast-paced and dynamic work environment.
