Northrop Grumman Aerospace Systems has an opening for a QA Policy & Strategy Analyst 2 to join our team. This position will be located in Palmdale, CA.
The primary function of this job is to develop, institute and maintain Foreign Object Elimination (FOE) policies, processes, procedure and control, ensuring that performance and compliance to standards supports FOD free product to assure lasting customer satisfaction. Works directly with operating entities to ensure that inspections and audits are conducted on continuing basis as specified to enforce requirements and meet standards.
Produces weekly and monthly FOE metrics and distributes to the site manufacturing center and Sector. Track and chart weekly results of internal and DCMA audits conducted to check compliance to standards set for tool, hardware, consumable and durable control, housekeeping and keeping the product FOD free. Performs on-going data analysis and when trends show systemic or egregious problems, issues Internal Corrective Action Requests.
Ensures executions of corrective and preventative actions are timely and effective. Works with teams to conduct root cause corrective / preventative action, and performs verification of corrective/preventative to ensure compliance. Maintains a close relationship and serves as liaison with the customer (Government Flight Representative, Government Ground Representative and the DCMA.
Works closely with sector Manufacturing and Quality on both the East and West coast. Due to my expertise is often called upon to ensure guidance in interpreting related policies, regulatory and/or governmental regulations to assure compliance. Attends Sector FOE council supporting site V.P to assure FOE compliance to the requirements of policies and procedure.
Bachelor's Degree and a minimum of 2 years' experience in shop-level Manufacturing and/or Quality operations
An active DoD Secret or Top Secret clearance with periodic Review/Investigation within the last 7 years
Ability to obtain Special Program Access
NAS412 Industry Standard for FOE
Six Sigma Black Belt & Green Belt
DCMAI 8210.1 C Ground Operations
ASQ Certified Quality Auditor
Quality Management System (QMS) AS9100/ISO9100
