Silvertree is seeking creative engineers to help bring our product to life. What youll do:

  • Define and implement Silvertrees QA process
  • Test and verify the quality of our software and firmware releases
  • Improve test coverage and implement test automation
  • Help identify, document, and resolve issues across the tech stack: web, mobile, and firmware
  • Manage and monitor the roll-out of new firmware releases
  • Monitor deployed devices for performance issues
  • Support across all aspects of early-stage development -- after all, this is a startup!

Requirements

  • 3-7 years of QA or QAA experience
  • More senior position available - level and pay commensurate with experience
  • Experience writing and executing end-to-end tests spanning web, mobile, and hardware-in-the-loop
  • Experience with test automation (eg: python testing scripts)
  • Familiarity with defining QA and QAA processes

Nice to have

  • Experience with rolling out software/firmware updates
  • Experience with GitHub actions
  • Familiarity with any of the following languages (javascript/typescript, C, Python)
  • Experience with CI/CD processes
  • Experience with AWS

The qualified candidate will be a key contributor in testing of a web application. The successful candidate should possess a mix of manual and automated testing experience on web based applications, as well as a demonstrated ability to create detailed test specifications, and test cases. Candidate will develop and conduct functional and non-functional tests by working with the business stakeholders, development teams and the project manager. Candidate must be able to obtain a public trust clearance and must have resided in the United States for 3 out of the last 5 years.</p><p>Responsibilities</p><ul><li><p>Review requirements, specifications and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback</p></li><li><p>Create detailed, comprehensive and well-structured test strategy and test plans</p></li><li><p>Develop test cases and test acceptance criteria; develop test data necessary to execute test cases</p></li><li><p>Execute automated functional and regression test cases as well as develop and maintain automated Test Scripts.</p></li><li><p>Define and report meaningful test metrics to support decision making by the project manager; thoroughly identify, record and track defects</p></li><li><p>Provide complex technical expertise to engineering management in the development, maintenance and refinement of internal quality control and reliability programs.</p></li><li><p>Provide leadership and guidance to less experienced test personnel</p></li><li><p>Track quality assurance metrics, like defect densities and open defect counts</p></li><li><p>Stay up-to-date with new testing tools and test strategies</p></li></ul><p>Expertise</p><ul><li><p>5+ years of experience of QA in fast paced environments software development environments</p></li><li><p>BS in engineering, computer science, information technology or other related science degree</p></li><li><p>Hands-on experience using Selenium test automation tools</p></li><li><p>Expertise of ad hoc database queries using SQL or SQL tools like Toad, etc.</p></li><li><p>Experience in working with issue tracking tools like Jira and TFS</p></li><li><p>Experience testing web interfaces, data interfaces and reports</p></li><li><p>Communication and technical writing skills necessary to produce formal test specifications and test plans</p></li><li><p>Analytical, problem solving, time management, priority allocation and task management skills</p></li><li><p>Strong presentation skills to present test results to individuals and groups</p></li><li><p>Ability to work independently and as part of a team</p></li></ul><p>In compliance with the U.S. federal government's vaccine mandate, only candidates who are fully vaccinated for COVID-19 or have a reasonable accommodation or approved medical exception will be considered for this position.</p><p>KBR is an equal opportunity employer.
