You will be responsible for ensuring Strategic Missile Defense (SMD) hardware that is built in-house and at suppliers meets program and enterprise quality requirements. Your work will support the program office, manufacturing and engineering with the integration of quality disciplines into their processes and monitor their effectiveness. Hardware production will include ordinance and explosives in support of our nation's warfighter at the Santa Cruz Facility (SCF) where you will be the senior site lead for the Production Operations (Prod Ops) QA team and partner with the SMD production teams in the manufacturing of high value hardware development, qualification, acceptance, and production testing. This position will oversee all day to day QA functions and actions required to accomplish the production goals required of our government customers and will support all internal and external audits to bring about solid closed loop corrective actions required for continual improvement of our production processes at the site.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college in a technical discipline (e.g., engineering field) or equivalent discipline (e.g., math, physics, chemistry, etc.).

  • Experience with actionable metrics and strong analytical skills

  • Proficient presentation skills

  • Firsthand experience performing/answering internal and external area Audits

  • 3 years prior coded leader experience or significant "lead" experience

  • Experience implementing process improvements as well as forecasting, negotiating and monitoring budgets

  • Experience in test failure/anomaly investigations and processing, MRB decisions (or similar), root cause analysis, and closed loop corrective action while identifying potential systemic causal relationships

  • You will apply your experience operating within a structured Quality System i.e. AS9100

  • Experience working with Government customers

  • Demonstrates experience with Anomaly Root Cause analysis and Corrective Action tools

  • Ability to obtain a secret security clearance.

  • Willingness to support odd shifts, weekends and holidays as required.

  • Ability to travel as required to support Production Operations events.

  • US Citizenship required
