Test mobile client software and SDKs. Perform test case and test scenario design, test execution, debugging, troubleshooting, installation and operations. Able to test on a wide variety of mobile software platforms and components efficiently and effectively, given requirements specifications and constraints. Analyze test results and present them to other organizations within the company.

Requirements

  • Develop and perform test cases for Skyhook software applications running on Android/IOS/IoT devices
  • Create detailed test plans based on system and functional requirements
  • Perform indoor and outdoor field testing of multiple cell phones and devices, includes occasional walking and driving tests
  • Evaluate IoT devices from potential customers. Validate integration to core systems
  • Support other Quality Assistance (QA) oe DevOPs testing activities, when required
  • Work with development teams to identify software and hardware issues
  • Able to perform basic troubleshooting techniques, like analyzing logs, calculating metrics, submitting error reports, etc.
  • Track and validate open JIRA issues assigned to you
  • As a member of the Agile Development team, participate in daily sprints and status meetings
  • General knowledge of scripting languages such as Python, Perl and Bash
  • Programing knowledge of Java a plus
  • Able to utilize technical infrastructure(e.g. testing environments, Git build system, Jira ticketing systems, Confluence documentation tools, others)
  • Protect Skyhook Intellectual Property by keeping information confidential
  • Experience testing mobile devices
  • Knowledge of developing test cases for mobile/IoT devices
  • Ability to install and configure applications on Android and IOS operating systems
  • Familiar with mobile location technology
  • Willing and able to perform testing in urban, suburban and rural areas
  • Knowledge of automation tools and techniques
  • BS in computer science, or a related discipline or equivalent experience
  • Hands on experience with Android, IOS, Linux and MS Windows

Job Description Core Responsibilities * Writes and executes tests to validate products and software applications. * Experience with MS SQL Server, T-SQL and SSIS required * Contributes to the development of Quality Assurance test philosophies and methodologies. Identifies viable test strategies in order to support testing product functionality. * Collaborates with product and development teams to identify product and technical requirements. * Reviews and verifies requirements and design specifications for validity in overall product design, with an emphasis towards product testability and verification. * Ensures proper execution of regression test procedures and automated test suites and scripts. Participates in design, code and functional product reviews. * Works with other Quality Assurance Engineers or Software Engineers to identify, reproduce and document bugs or defects. * Assists in providing guidance and mentorship for junior-level Quality Assurance Engineers. Provides technical leadership and consultation with regards to practices, procedures and techniques. * Supports trials of new infrastructure designs/services. * Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance. * Regular, consistent and punctual attendance.
