MZ is looking for a QA Engineer to join our real time platform engineering team. You will be working with a group of world-class engineers, architects and product managers to build a scalable and high-performance breakthrough platform that will be leveraged by our external customers to build paradigm shifting applications and solutions.

You'll be a part of a modern, lean, self governing engineering team where you have the ability to switch hats between designing features, coding, testing for quality and performance. What you'll be doing:

  • Write and execute test plans

  • Detect and document software defects

  • Write simple automation for repetitive tasks

  • Work with engineers on product designs, review implementation

  • Identify and analyze performance bottlenecks

Your background and who you are:

  • BS degree in Computer Science or a related technical field

  • Be proactive, detailed and organized

  • 3+ years professional work experience

  • 2+ years of experience in scripting languages/shell scripting

  • 2+ years of experience testing distributed systems

  • Ability to read and understand code in C#/Java

Bonus points:

  • Understanding of SQL, NoSQL, column-oriented, object, blob and other databases and storage solutions

  • Passion for performance debugging and benchmarking

  • Experience with UI automation

VIEW JOBS 2/7/2019 12:00:00 AM 2019-05-08T00:00 As a Software Quality Assurance Lead, you will be a leader in the testing and support of embedded software solutions deployed in self driving cars using multiple sensors and compute setup. You will leverage your experience in multi-platform environment testing to create, maintain and drive a process that will ensure that both internal and external customer receive Quality Releases on time. This is a role which requires an individual to act as a QA/Testing leader and eventually hire and manage a team. Primary responsibilities include: * Define, implement and maintain Quality Assurance processes and procedures. * Research and develop an understanding of the market requirements for the product, including how the product is actually used and what are its performance requirements, taking in consideration user acceptance plans. * Work with Product Management to develop project schedules and plan resource allocation for QA related projects. * Develop test plans for each product release and define test cases to support the test plan. Administer testing tools and applications for automating testing programs. * Anticipate software release problems and take corrective action, escalating as needed. Provide effective communication regarding issues, objectives, initiatives, and performance to plan. * Update QA process documentation, communicate to stakeholders and hold regular QA meetings to ensure stakeholders remain knowledgeable about procedures, schedules, and KPIs. * Research and implement new and improved testing methods, processes, tools and tests systems. * Grow the QA Team. Assign and monitor work, train staff, ensure quality control, provide advice on technical matters, recruit and interview candidates, conduct performance reviews, and handle a variety of other employee-related responsibilities. The successful candidate will have: * College Degree, ideally in computer science, preferred. * Four to Six years of experience in product testing. * Strong communications skills. Ability to communicate effectively with Developers and Product Management staff. * Excellent organization and prioritization skills. Must be able to work independently, take initiative and have the ability to handle multiple tasks under tight deadlines. * Understanding of best practices for Quality Assurance business processes and metric management. * Excellent testing skills, with knowledge of test planning, scheduling, processes, and execution. * Understanding of Linux embedded Software and testing of Drivers and Low level Hardware interaction. * Automation and proper coverage of API testing against a specification. * Experience leading successful teams and providing daily direction.
