Description:This position reports to the Air Mobility & Maritime Mission Supplier Quality Integration Team. Typical work scope will be the following noted work relative to purchased parts quality and performance on AMMM programs.
Will utilize statistical techniques and preventive action methods to evaluate and initiate actions to identify and control sources of variation detrimental to quality, cost, and schedule targets under general supervision of more senior personnel. Scope of assignment includes; quality and cost data analysis, root cause analysis, corrective and preventive action investigations, process validations, and supplier quality integration tasks. May coordinate/conduct process evaluations and preventive action and root cause investigations as assigned.
Will engage in preventive / predictive actions that provide right the first time and all the time quality of supplied parts. Will investigate, coordinate, monitor and follow-up on supplier-related engineering, manufacturing, and quality issues.
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to start their Supplier Quality Career on a fast paced program working with experienced professionals and then move to a field assignment within the Continental US.
Must be a US Citizen; this position requires a government security clearance. This position is located at a facility that requires special access.
Experience leading or working on a project team *Proficiency in Microsoft Office
Ability to evaluate products performance
Ability to apply continuous improvement methods to insure supplier quality performance.
Technical or business internship experience a plus Self starter with proven track record of success working independently and in team settings
Knowledge of SAP / MRP systems.
Experience delivering presentations to leadership and customers.
Industrial Engineering experience / Project management experience a plus.
Possess hands-on, working knowledge of Engineering drawings, Manufacturing, and Quality processes.
Read and communicate technical and contractual issues with suppliers, engineers, production, and perform purchase order reviews.
Read and interpret blueprints and technical specifications.
Strong written, verbal communication and organizational skills.
Ability to tactfully achieve desired actions.
Strong interpersonal skills (will engage with senior leaders).
Ability to excel in a fast paced, potentially high stress, changing environment.
