TransCore (TRN), a subsidiary of Roper Technologies, Inc. (NYSE: ROP) is seeking a full-time Quality Assurance Engineer to join our team in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

Job Summary:
The Quality Assurance Engineer will support the Infinity Test Team with a myriad of tasks, from simple test documentation, to more complex root cause and corrective analysis.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Record test data and writeup testing assumptions and conclusions

  • Update documentation for software test plans and test reports

  • Review Engineering Change issues including Temporary Deviations, End of Life and LIfe Time Buy events

  • Assist with root cause and corrective analysis procedures on Repair Returns

Education: Bachelor's degree (B.A.) in Engineering field of Mechanical, Electrical, or Quality Assurance Engineering from four-year college or university preferred. Associates in Engineering will be considered with appropriate experience.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Knowledge of Windows and Linux operating systems

  • Experience with Microsoft Office products (specifically Word, Excel, Outlook, Skype, etc.)

  • Excellent technical writing and documentation skills

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Ability to learn and apply new information in a rapidly changing environment

Desired Skills:

  • Experience with hands-on troubleshooting for embedded systems

  • Experience using statistical analysis to identify and quantify testing outliers

  • Experience generating reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data, and then making recommendations based off of that data set

  • Experience using CAD software

  • Experience with software configuration management or issue tracking using software such as Serena, Dimensions, JIRA, Smartsheets, Confluence, etc.

VIEW JOBS 8/17/2019 12:00:00 AM 2019-11-15T00:00 Job Description Description SAIC is looking for a QA Test Automation Engineer to work with multiple departments to establish a robust automated testing practice. This position is responsible for the design and development of automated testing, so one will have an opportunity to develop and build out an automated test framework and processes for the teams. The successful candidate will also be expected to evaluate automated testing tools and make a recommendation on the one that fits the environment and meets the teams' needs. This role will work closely with the project teams to define strategy and process, bringing automation in line with existing functional aspect of the test effort. The ideal candidate, will have a strong technical background, preferably as a programmer, but most of all, you'll be passionate about automated testing frameworks. Primary duties: * Work closely with the application architects to develop a solid automated testing solution for continuous integration * Lead complex test automation efforts using automated testing tools and Java for large Agile software projects and large Web-based COTS systems * Gather & analyze test requirements based on the business scenarios * Define automated test criteria to be used to determine which functionality should be automated * Develop automated tests for all functionality that meets the specified automation criteria * Develop, implement and execute automated test plan/test cases in an Agile scrum environment * Facilitate defect triage process and help in resolving release/project issues * Develop automated test scripts for new features based on acceptance criteria and user stories during each development Sprint * Develop, implement, document, and monitor best practices for test automation developers across Scrum teams * Communicate automation goals, priorities, and status across the organization * Assist in the training/mentoring of team members on automated testing, including testers, developers, and business analysts * Provide input into improving the automation test framework for the teams Qualifications Required Skills: * Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field or 4 additional years of experience in lieu of degree * Minimum of two years of demonstrated experience developing software tests for functional, performance and regression testing, especially automated testing elements * Proven experience developing automated test systems for applications in UNIX/Linux * Hands-on experience with automated testing technologies including Cucumber, Gherkin, and Selenium. * Experience as a developer, preferably in Java, C++ or Python * Solid understanding of object-oriented programming, design and debugging skills * Excellent understanding of software design techniques * Experience with source control systems and configuration management * Candidate can start uncleared, but must able to obtain and maintain a DOE Q clearance Desired Skills: * Experience in Agile development methodologies * Ability to create scripts beyond record and playback, specifically developing functions, adding control flow logic, loops etc. * Knowledge and experience with continuous integration, continuous build and continuous deployment practice, tools and trends * Good understanding of QA methodology – test plans, test cycles, and software releases * Experienced with defect management and tracking tools * Excellent written and verbal communication and teamwork skills * Active DOE Q clearance DISL ABQS Desired Qualifications Overview SAIC is a premier technology integrator, solving our nation's most complex modernization and systems engineering challenges across the defense, space, federal civilian, and intelligence markets.
