Position: QA Engineer
Location: Tampa, FL
Duration: 6 month contract

Our client is looking for a QA Engineer that will be focused on 70% manual and 30% automated testing. You will be tasked with translating business requirements into effective test cases, test planning, test automation, and test execution.

What are you going to do?
Create test requirements, test plan, test scenarios, test data with high testing coverage and pass rate
Automation testing for backend Web Service, WCF, Web APIs, and SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS)
Create automation test cases using SoapUI tool, groovy script, JMeter performance tool
Join SCRUM team and keep good collaboration with Dev, PO, manager and other team members to complete tasks in good deliverables
Execute QA testing, submit bugs, push bug resolved, analyze test failures, and deliver 100% test report
Determines and develops approaches to solutions
Defines standards for development of manual & automated test scripts, deployment and reuse
Contributes to the automation effort
Participates in formal reviews of business requirements and application designs
Ensures proper test coverage exists based on requirements and design specifications
Create and executes manual and automated test scripts for most complex projects in a most efficient and modular fashion
Create common routines and libraries for automation to be shared between teams
Coordinates test schedules, work and resource plans; manages progress of all test activities against plan

What will get you the job?
A minimum of 5 years of in-depth QA Engineering experience
Bachelors degree in computer science or related field, or equivalent work experience
C#/.Net, Web Service/WCF, SQL Server, SSIS
SoapUI/QTP, Jenkins/TeamCity/Bamboo, TestRail, JMeter/LoadRunner.
Scrum, JIRA, Confluence, Perforce/SVN/TFS
Advanced software testing background through extended quality assurance experience
Full project life cycle experience
Extensive application/technology knowledge and recognized expertise in several areas
Demonstrated expertise in all technologies relevant to responsibilities, including communications, environments, operating systems and databases
Solid understanding of agile software process including analysis, design, coding, system integration, and user acceptance testing, problem resolution and planning
Demonstrated expertise in all technologies relevant to responsibilities, including communications, environments, operating systems and databases
Ability to lead manual and/or small automated test projects using available test frameworks and tools
Proficient with one or more object oriented programming language (i.e. C# or Java)
Capable of contributing to libraries with little to no supervision as well as providing supervision for more junior engineers
Knowledge of Windows server technologies, and database (MySQL and MS SQL)

We are looking for an Associate QA Engineer with some automation experience, who wants to work in an Agile environment with a growing team. This position requires a self-motivated individual with strong problem-solving skills who can contribute in a dynamic team environment. The key responsibilities of this job include: * Support the manual and automated QA testing activities of Cherwell Software. * Promote QA best practices, and produce consistently high-quality deliverables. * Review requirements, acceptance criteria, and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback. * Write and execute detailed, comprehensive and well-structured test cases. * Estimate, prioritize, plan and coordinate testing activities. * Develop, and execute stable automation scripts that improve test coverage. * Promptly identify, record, thoroughly document and track bugs. * Perform thorough smoke, system, integration, automation, compatibility, and regression testing when bugs are resolved, stories are ready for test, and code is feature complete. * Assist in building and configuring test environments. * Contribute to the review and maintenance of project documentation. * Liaise with internal teams (e.g. developers and product managers) to identify system requirements. What You Should Have * Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related experience. * Ability to write, and execute automated tests using tools such as Selenium, and Ranorex. * Experience with Agile development methodologies. * Experience with Windows, .Net, REST API, VMWare, C#, PowerShell. * Experience with SCCS, preferably Git. * Experience with SQL/TSQL on Microsoft SQL Server. Nice to Have * Knowledge of Active Directory, LDAP, SAML. * Knowledge of web service technologies and testing. * Familiarity with the ITAM/ITSM industry, ITIL V3 foundations and other related standards.
