Role description:

Vivints Quality organization is looking for a QA Director to lead quality & automation strategy and efforts. In this role you will drive quality and automation strategy for our Devices & Infrastructure (D&I) vertical within Vivints Innovation Center. You will work with D&I development, program, product and release partners to reduce the time quality needs to release new software updates, products deliveries and improve the quality of existing products. You and your team will partner with our Automation Ops team to help improve and expand the level and quality of test automation within the D&I space.

Required Skills/Experience:

  • Ability to work with other verticals, and help coordinate quality planning and execution
  • Extremely well-versed in quality engineering and the entire Software Development Lifecycle
  • Help create and manage multiple project schedules
  • Reprioritize projects and deliverables based on business need
  • Lead meetings reviewing project status, communicating current status, risks and mitigations, and dependencies
  • Can identify, manage and de-escalate risk with strategic and tactical approaches
  • Knowledge of build pipelines, CI/CD with quality and automation integration
  • Can effectively communicate project status verbally and written.
  • Experience with detailed JIRA filters and dashboards, Confluence reporting/documentation
  • Assist in developing and implementing quality best practices
  • 5+ years of program management experience with teams spanning across multiple GEO's.
  • 5+ years of experience managing budgets for programs >5M USD per annum.
  • 5+ years of vendor management experience.
  • Experience with Implementation of Automate first strategy / shift-left strategies
  • 5+ years of experience implementing Agile Practices,
  • Bug Review Processes, and best practices for testing.
