We are hiring a QA Automation Engineer

We are developing a cloud-based data streaming platform consisting of java microservices for ingesting, transforming, unifying and writing data into mutiple NoSQL databases and data warehouses for a large investment bank. Interested in joining our QA Team?

Job Description:

The ideal candidate will be deeply versed in automation testing with a strong background in Java and Selenium. You will design and implement automated tests, contribute to our BDD approach using Cucumber, and ensure robust database testing with SQL. Your role is pivotal in maintaining our commitment to quality and agile methodologies.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain automated test scripts using Java and Selenium.

• Understand and implement BDD frameworks, such as Cucumber, to enhance test readability and collaboration.

• Write complex SQL queries and perform database validation to ensure data integrity.

• Conduct API testing and be able to work with RESTful services.

• Participate actively in agile ceremonies, contributing to functional testing and continuous improvement efforts.

Qualifications:

• Hands-on experience in Java programming, with a deep understanding of OOP concepts, Java collections, and runtime polymorphism.

• Demonstrated experience with Selenium WebDriver, including knowledge of different locators, handling exceptions, and employing the Page Object Model.

• Ability to write complex SQL queries and a solid grasp of database concepts including joins, clauses, and aggregate functions.

• Experience with API testing frameworks and a good understanding of RESTful APIs.

• Practical knowledge of Agile methodologies and functional testing practices.

Nice to have:

• Experience with modern automation tools such as Playwright or similar.

• Prior experience with BDD implementation using Cucumber.

What You'll Bring:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.

• Minimum of 4 years of experience in automation QA.

• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

• A continuous learning mindset and the ability to quickly adapt to new technologies and frameworks.

One of the prerequisites for this position is that the prospective candidate must possess a valid work permit for Serbia.
