SUMMARY:

Quality Assurance Associate III in the QA Operations group serves as the primary QA reviewer of Manufacturing batch records, QC test data and other documentation supporting GMP operations and product disposition. Additionally, the position supports compliance through in-plant support, internal audits and regulatory inspection support.

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Reviews executed manufacturing batch records for completeness, compliance, and accuracy to support product lot disposition.

  • Reviews QC data generated from manufactured product and intermediates; approves results summaries.

  • Reviews and approves production and testing deviations and investigations.

  • May review and approve validation protocols, reports and validation deviations.

  • Reviews and approves Manufacturing and QC SOPs.

  • Independently interacts with other groups to proactively address compliance concerns and resolve problems.

  • May participate on client project teams.

  • May participate on cross-functional compliance improvement projects.

  • May assist in performing internal audits.

  • Work the week end shift to support Manufacturing, QC and Engineering operations.

  • On-call occasionally to provide off-hours support.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

  • Works on moderately complex problems where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of various factors.

  • Exercises judgment within broadly defined practices and policies in selecting methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for obtaining results.

  • Demonstrates strong understanding of procedures and methods for review function.

  • Makes independent decisions for operations.

  • Communicates decisions and recommendations with clear justification to QA group and cross-functional areas.

  • Independently determines and develops approach to solutions.

  • Provide solutions to a wide range of difficult problems. Solutions are imaginative, thorough, practicable, and consistent with organization objectives.

  • Understanding of basic scientific/technical concepts.

  • Strong understanding of cGMP's and concepts in several quality systems.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

  • BS in Chemistry, Biology or other relevant discipline or equivalent work experience.
  • 4-8 Years QA or related experience. An MS may partially substitute for work experience.

For more information, visit www.agcbio.com SUMMARY: The QA Associate II (In Plant Operations) is responsible of overseeing and providing in-plant support to the following activities at the site: PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES: * Review of manufacturing batch records for completeness, compliance, and accuracy to support product lot disposition. * Review of QC testing data generated from manufactured product and intermediates and approve results summaries. * Triage deviations during and post manufacturing and support implementation of corrective and preventive actions and participate in investigations teams. * Approve equipment cleaning and change over operations. * Support review and approval activities of Master Batch Records (MBRs). * Approve of calibration and maintenance records, raw materials testing and other documentation supporting GMP operations. * Participate and lead Improvement initiatives aimed to add efficiency to the Quality processes. * Provide Subject Matter Expert (SME) support during internal/clients audits and regulatory inspections. * Collaborate in the resolution of issues associated with the manufacturing operations, becoming the QA point-of-contact, providing guidance and facilitate the resume of manufacturing activities post deviation detection. * This position will support the night shift and potentially include weekend nights to support Manufacturing, Quality Control, and Engineering Operations activities. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES: * Strong technical and analytical understanding of Biologics Manufacturing and testing. * Ability to clearly communicate compliance strategy and rationale via oral and written communication techniques. * Good organizational skills. * Demonstrated leadership in areas of teamwork and problem-solving. * Expert knowledge of regulatory and compliance principles and concepts as they relate to Operations Ability to work on moderately complex problems where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of various factors. * Demonstrated ability to interact with cross-functional teams in order to ensure the compliance of the GMP operations at the site. * Demonstrated strong understanding of procedures and methods for review function. * Understanding of basic scientific/technical concepts. EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: * BS degree in Biology, Chemistry or other relevant discipline or equivalent work experience. * 5+ years' QA-related experience, including interpretation and application of regulatory principles which drive QA strategy.
