Overview
Full time contractor Python Developer as part of the Tech Reporting Team. The Python Developer will develop scripts to update, maintain, extract, and interact with the Tech Reporting database, a collection of data from several systems focused primarily on the program management metrics necessary to coordinate all of the projects within technology. The Python Developer will also interact with the JIRA program management system.
Key Responsibilities
The Python Developer will be instrumental in building, scheduling, and executing the Python scripts needed to interact with the project management systems (REST API into JIRA & Confluence), the Tech Reporting database (a PostgreSQL database), and facilitate the import and export of related data between systems and end users. The Python Developer will use Python to perform the necessary calculations needed for the Tech Reporting site to display accurate information at the Executive, Program, and Team levels.
This position focuses primarily on developing Python scripts as back-end processes of an overall system, and will be a part of a fast paced team. The perfect candidate will have three or more years experience building Python scripts, interacting with PostgreSQL databases, and will have experience with REST API calls into JIRA and Confluence.

Job Summary: This position will be responsible for integrating platform and software to service builds and modifications to test environments that include, Spectrum TV, Voice, and other Charter services platforms. This will include integration using API interfaces into platform software. Automated test and test tool development is required to support deployment automation of required system builds using Chef, Puppet, Kubernetes, UCS Director, Teraforms and internally developed tools such as OTTR and Spectrum Test Hub (STH). The position will support multiple projects/systems of medium to high complexity, and provide lab environment support across organizations. The Platform QA & Integration (PQI) team is responsible for Lab Project Intake, Design Implementation, Integration, Certification and Testing of Video, Data Center, Voice, DOCSIS based platforms. From a Platform perspective, the team also deploys physical infrastructure that include Compute, Storage, Network. In addition, PQI builds and virtual platforms for virtual machines and containers based on VMware, OpenStack, Kubernetes and a myriad of other virtual platforms to support the current and future Charter delivery platforms. The team's role requires a highly skilled staff of systems integration engineers capable of developing software automation tools to deploy and configure complex systems, integrate and manage those systems, as well as develop software to run automated load, performance, functional and regression testing in order to certify and launch new solutions into production. This position is needed to build and enhance automation tools for solution deployment, testing and ongoing support and maintenance. Required Qualifications: Experience in platform and data center technologies including Cisco UCS, NetApp Storage, VMware, Kubernetes and OpenStack. Python and or Java coding with integration into VMware, Cisco UCS, NetApp and other platform APIs. Demonstrated ability to meet delivery dates for small, medium, and large-scale development projects. Strong ability to analyze and interpret data. Proven technical writer. Education: Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems, Software Development, Systems Administration, Network Administration, Engineering and or related field. Related Work Experience (Number of Years): A combination skill set of Platforms, Compute, Storage Network and Application administration is preferred. Candidate would ideally have worked in the Telco industry for 2 – 5 years or more with exposure to Video based applications.
