Job Requirements and Preferences:
Minimum Degree Required:
In lieu of a Bachelor Degree, 12 years of professional experience involving technology-focused process improvements, transformations, and/or system implementations
Minimum Years of Experience:
3 year(s) in user interface design experience
Preferred Fields of Study:
Business Analytics, Computer and Information Science, Mathematics
Demonstrates thorough knowledge and/or a proven record of success in the following areas:
Plan, prioritize, coordinate, and conduct user requirements analysis, task analysis, conceptual modeling, information architecture design, interaction design, and user research;
Design and specify user interfaces and information architecture using participatory and iterative design techniques, including observational studies, customer interviews, usability testing, and other forms of requirements discovery;
Produce user requirements specifications, personas, user journeys, storyboards, scenarios, flowcharts, design prototypes, and design specifications;
Effectively communicate research findings, conceptual ideas, detailed design, and design rationale both verbally and visually;
Manage the design process, drive decisions, track issues, and assist in estimating resource needs and schedules;
Work closely with development teams to establish that design specifications are implemented;
Participate as a contributor to an interdisciplinary team that includes other designers, project management, brand strategists, data scientists, and software developers;
Demonstrating knowledge of user interface design processes and methodology, particularly as applied to Web-based and mobile applications;
Demonstrating experience participating and/or leading enterprise software design projects;
Demonstrating experience facilitating and participating in usability testing of new software products with end users;
Demonstrating experience working with product and software development teams;
Utilizing project and people management skills; Must be able to function as a project leader as well as an individual contributor;
Demonstrating proficiency with design and prototyping tools such as AdobeCC, Sketch, InVision, Pixate, and Framer;
Utilizing excellent communication and organization skills; and,
Demonstrating a passion for creating products that resonate emotionally with people.
