Position Specific Description

Job Summary: The Entry Level PV Solar & Battery Technician will play a crucial role in supporting the operations and maintenance of NextEra Energy's photovoltaic (PV) solar and battery storage systems. As a member of the Operations and Maintenance (O&M) team, the technician will be responsible for ensuring optimal performance and reliability of clean energy systems.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct routine preventive maintenance activities on solar panels, battery storage systems, and associated equipment.

• Troubleshoot and undertake corrective maintenance to identify and resolve system issues, ensuring maximum system uptime and efficiency.

• Adhere to maintenance schedules and follow established procedures for inspections, cleaning, lubrication, and component replacements.

• Utilize monitoring software and tools to regularly monitor and analyze system performance, identifying deviations and inefficiencies.

• Generate performance reports and maintain accurate records of system performance, including energy production, equipment status, and maintenance activities.

• Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment for oneself and colleagues.

• Adhere to environmental regulations and procedures during maintenance activities and waste management.

• Maintain accurate documentation of O&M activities, including maintenance logs, work orders, and inventory records.

• Communicate effectively with supervisors, team members, and other stakeholders regarding work progress, challenges, and recommendations.
