Toll Brothers, America's Leading Luxury Home Builder, is seeking a Purchasing Solutions Director to join our team.
What is the opportunity?
The Director, Purchasing Solutions is responsible for understanding, devising, designing, and implementing Purchasing setup strategies in EnterpriseOne (E1). The role requires strong technical skills coupled with business process and systems experience. They will gather and compile stakeholder and user requirements to design collaborative solutions within the organization's systems. This role understands and applies national guidance to facilitate consistent, enterprise-wide setup to aid with efficiency and troubleshooting and identifies opportunities for setup to be streamlined and improved. This individual will apply proven communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills to help maximize the benefit of EnterpriseOne system investments.
What are the primary responsibilities?
Purchasing Setup & Deployment
Collaborate with national functional areas (e.g. Sales, Design, and Production) to define 'go to market' selling strategies, design system setup solutions to facilitate selling strategies for evaluation, and direct enterprise-wide implementation of the selected solution(s)
Focus on consistent, enterprise-wide setup, to facilitate maintenance and troubleshooting
Assist National Purchasing with system readiness for Phase 2 itemization
Validate National Option Master to include all E1 Phase 2 options available in any Toll Division, including go forward Class Code strategy and alignment of Option Specifications
Validate Division Option Master to include records specific to the Division offering, ensuring consistent use of options and class codes throughout Community Option Masters
Lead the Purchasing effort to transition Toll legacy Divisions and future acquisitions to Phase 2 itemized E1 setup
Develop a deep understanding of national setup for each trade and collaborate with Division teams to facilitate setup, while adhering to national guidance
Validate Option Master setup in accordance with existing architectural plans, changes necessary to cost codes and trade codes, creation of itemized program assortment, and more
Partner with the Division teams on data validation to confirm new setup ties out to legacy data
Achieve implementation deadlines
Strategy & Planning
Manage, evaluate and prioritize stakeholder and end user requests and requirements for Purchasing changes and enhancements within E1
Review the effectiveness and efficiency of existing setup and develop strategies for enhancing and simplifying
Collaborate in the planning, design, development, and deployment of enhancements to existing applications
Perform testing for enhancements or issue resolution prior to implementation in production environment
Troubleshoot, test, and resolve issues with integrated platform(s)
Support implementation and integration of new processes and/or software solution(s) related to Purchasing into the business unit(s); including developing overall project schedules and work assignments for Division integration responsibilities
Maintain a sufficient level of expertise with the organization's integrated platform(s) and open communication with systems owners to ensure collaboration between the tools
On-going support
Engage with end users to implement national purchasing strategies
Assist with setup and transition to new option and item numbers
Review and revise Division setup (e.g. rules, valid values) as option and item numbers change or product optimization occurs to ensure a timely transition
Suggest alternate setup solutions based on specific, approved use cases
Document Purchasing setup processes and trade strategies to facilitate future setup and troubleshooting
Assist with training development, in accordance with business processes and operational procedures; identify and develop continuing education opportunities for end users to expand system knowledge
Assist end users on EnterpriseOne related functionality questions
Operational Management
Provide guidance and/or instruction to junior staff members
Provide subject matter expertise in Purchasing setup system requirements in direct support of maximizing transactional capabilities
Represent Purchasing on cross functional initiatives, collaborating on policy, process, documentation, and training that supports company business best practices

Do you have these qualifications?
Essential:
10+ years' experience in Residential Purchasing or IT related business
5+ years' experience in lead-to-manager role
Proven experience with business and technical requirements analysis, business process modelling/mapping, methodology development, and data modelling
Ability to create systematic and manual operations procedures in user-friendly language
Demonstrated project management skills and project management software skills
Demonstrated training skills
Strong Microsoft Office Skills, with an emphasis on Excel
Preferred:
Experience overseeing the design, development, and implementation of software and hardware solutions, systems, or products
An advanced degree (e.g., MBA, MIS, etc.)
IT related certifications (e.g., Six Sigma, PMP, etc.)
College diploma or university degree
