In this role you will be: Purchasing office supplies, patient care supplies, small office & medical equipment, custodial and kitchen supplies for over 200 facilities.
The work involves partnering with local leaders and includes:
Create vendor relations and establish rebate programs and manage those we have in place
Prepare bids, review requisitions, and assist management in the decision making process.
Create and manage contracts and purchase orders
Track and report the spends by category and help identify key functional metrics to improve spending
Develop, maintain and update asset management database of ongoing and recurring capital and operating expenses.
Maintain and reconcile records of invoices, contracts and deliveries.
Prepare cost analyses.
Prepare all necessary materials, reports as required for the review and approval of management and Facility Directors.
Provide input on the overall development and improvement of current purchasing procedures and policies.
Other duties as assigned.
Bachelor degree and three years of purchasing experience - preferred
Willing to understand and live our company culture
Must be self-driving and can work with minimal oversight
Must be result driven and motivated
Working knowledge of medical terminology
Familiarity with sourcing and vendor management
Interest in senior care market dynamics
A knack for negotiation and networking with vendors
Vendor management software experience preferred
Strong computer skills to present various graphs, charts, and visuals as needed
