The selected candidate will be responsible for project management of Product Upgrade Instruction programs and Manufacturing Product Introductions of various sizes and scope including ramp up and ramp down of products. Included in responsibilities are inventory material planning to support service, modernization, and commercial business organizations. The position is a critical touch point between Product teams, Manufacturing, and Supply Chain Management.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Project management support for Product Upgrade Instruction projects including reconciliation and tracking of material utilization against Affected Units list (AUL). Attend weekly meeting. Keep both OSC and Florence Finance teams updated of any residual product at program end for disposition.

  • Project management support for Manufacturing Product Introductions. Includes attending engineering change and Gate review meetings. Manage bill of materials that support the project while keeping all impacted parties informed.

  • Planning of a large group of Elevator/Escalator parts sourced from domestic and international suppliers.

  • Participate in roll out and training of new web-based technology to support the planning process

  • Expedite and de-expedite deliveries as required to ensure on time deliveries and proper inventory levels.

  • Manage inventory to support service rates by improving turnover and meeting inventory metrics to reduce inventory

  • Planning deliveries, managing supplier lead time, customer needs, and supplier forecast requests are key areas of focus.

  • Analyze backorder root cause and adjust plans and forecasts as needed to support all customer groups

  • Adhere to OTIS three Absolutes SAFETY, ETHICS and QUALITY

  • Ability to participate in annual inventory


  • BS or BA in business or related degree. Or a minimum of 15 years of parts inventory management experience.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Minimum 8 year's relevant experience

  • Demonstrated project management, organizational and inter-personal skill

  • Excellent analytical skill

  • Strong customer and communication (verbal & written)

  • Ability to work as both an individual contributor and in a team environment

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel is required

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with elevator / escalator parts management

The position will provide support for all activity for products being shipped into, or from all locations. Responsibilities include: * Prepare purchase orders (PO) for a large group of Elevator / Escalator spare parts sourced from national and international suppliers; ensure supplier compliance to company Terms and Conditions * Ensure supplier PO and price confirmation * Expedite and de-expedite deliveries as required to ensure on time deliveries, proper inventory level, and support services rates/performance metrics * Work and collaborate with other departments and groups to resolve supply issues in a timely fashion. * Maintain high service level (fill rate) by evaluating customer demand and expediting material to meet customer needs without disrupting the flow of parts to our internal and external customers. * Manage suppliers to perform to quality, delivery, cost, and inventory metrics. * Reduce and manage backorders, including reviewing and updating backorder reports. * Manage supplier deliveries and lead time to support key focus areas: customer requirements and inventory goals * Actively support the management of the Price and Lead Time Desk for inactive parts * Compile price proposals, financial reports, and analysis to support price reasonableness, purchase quantity, and strategy * Participate in Lean activities to improve internal processes for quality and productivity; strong analytical skills required * Resolve discrepancies on purchase orders, material rejections and invoicing issues EDUCATION Candidates should possess a BS or BA degree in business, supply chain, or engineer EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS Prior experience in a supply chain function Ability to work with multiple functional groups; including Production Planning, Engineering, Program Management, and Quality Assurance to ensure business goals are met Ability to work in and fully support a Team and collaborative environment Excellent customer service skills and a positive attitude Self-motivated, with good interpersonal skills including strong written and oral communications skills Strong problem-solving and analytic skills Attention to detail is a must PREFERRED EXPERIENCE Experience in SDC, Excel, Access, Forms or other data manipulation programs Ability to read Engineering drawings A strong understanding and application of lean manufacturing programs/processes ____________________________________________________________________ Butler America Aerospace, LLC. is proud to provide an equal opportunity workplace and be an affirmative action employer.
