Ashland has an exciting opportunity for a Purchasing & Payroll Administrator to join our Composites business at our Jacksonville, AR. This is a very visible, significant role within the Company and the Plant Administration function. This position will report to Office Manager.

The responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Payroll processing using Kronos

  • Raw material and MRO purchasing

  • Inventory reconciliation

  • Invoice processing

  • Generating Domestic and Export shipping paperwork

In order to be qualified for this role, you must possess the following:

  • A minimum of a High School diploma

  • Data/Word Processing/Computer skills

  • Accounting/Bookkeeping skills

  • Strong mathematical skills

  • Good grammar and spelling

The following skill sets are preferred by the business unit:

  • Some College coursework

  • SAP experience

  • Microsoft Office suite experience

  • Logistic or Administrative experience

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Leads by example and understands that the tone for the entire branch staff is set by his/her personal commitment to the Company and its culture. As a direct result, obtains the commitment of the personnel within the branch to live by the Companys core values. 2. Understands the mechanics of running a branch and is able to perform all the essential functions with a high degree of expertise to insure that his/her branch is operating consistently with all company practices, policies, and procedures. 3. Works with Branch Manager to identify and develop the future leaders and skilled staff to ensure a pipeline of talent exists with the branch to support the Companys vision and objectives. 4. Assigns duties and work schedules to customer service representatives to ensure efficiency in the branch. Trains employees on customer service and teller procedures. Those duties include but are not limited to: A) Identifying customer needs and offering products that best fit B) Scheduling of personnel C) Proper audit and controls D) Money supply and cash limits E) Check approvals F) Outages G) Holds. 5. Supports the Branch Manager in assuring that sales and service behaviors of the personnel are consistent with the Companys core values and profit objectives. 6. Assumes the full management duties of the branch in the absence of the Branch Manager. 7. Assists Branch Manager in the selection, development, training, and retention of staff. 8. Collaborates with the Branch Manager to ensure operational excellence and customer satisfaction. 9. Identifies ways to mitigate service delivery weaknesses and exploit potential service delivery strengths to differentiate FAB&T in the market. 10. Takes and active role in activities that promote the good will of the Company in the community. 11. Collaborates with Retail Management, Training, Internal Audit, and Security on compliance issues and process improvement. 12. Perform any other related duties as required or assigned. QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty mentioned satisfactorily. Equivalent to four years high school, with particular emphasis during high school in office skills, shop skills, or others, plus 12 to 18 months related experience and/or training, and 1 to 6 months related management experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
