Purchasing Manager

Position Summary

As a Purchasing Manager at Pet Food Experts, you will play a critical role in managing our replenishment buying process to ensure the timely and cost-effective acquisition of inventory from Vendor partners. You will work closely with our Vendor partners, among internal teams including Vendor Development, Operations, Customer Experience, Sales, & Finance to maintain optimal inventory levels and meet customer demands. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in purchasing, inventory management, and a passion for the pet industry.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Proficiency in inventory management software, Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), & Google Suite (sheets, docs, slides)

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail and accuracy.

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments and with external partners.

• Knowledge of regulatory requirements and industry standards for pet food products preferred.

Education & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field.

• Master's degree or relevant certifications (e.g., CSCP, CPSM) preferred.

• Proven experience as a Purchasing Manager or similar role in the pet food industry or related field.
