Purchasing Intern:
Lennar is seeking a Purchasing Intern to obtain the knowledge and know-how, through a Mentor/Mentee relationship with Division personnel, to successfully be responsible for supporting the land, purchasing, sales, construction and accounting departments. This includes learning the approvals, acquisition and due diligence process, completing financial proformas for potential land opportunities, gaining an overview of the accounting and purchasing process, gaining exposure to sales and marketing and participating in homebuilding scheduling and management.
Responsibilities
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
Arrive to work on time at the directed location daily.
Assist in the preparation of financial proformas for proposed residential developments.
Conduct market research and market analysis.
Coordinate completion of approvals and due diligence review.
Assist Accounting team in month end tasks.
Provide support for Staff Accountant for data entry for items such as price increases, deposits, etc.
Provide support to Closing team as needed with keys, courier, etc.
Ability to spend time in the field with sales, construction and accounting/finance teams in order to obtain a better understanding of the responsibilities and functions of those departments.
Adhere to weekly assigned mentor's work.
Perform all other Duties as assigned.

Qualifications
Education and Experience Requirements
Minimum High School or GED required
Valid driver's license and good driving record
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Intermediate to advanced PC skills (Microsoft Word and Excel)
Physical Requirements:
This is primarily a sedentary office position which requires the ability to occasionally bend, stoop, reach, lift, move, and carry office materials and supplies weighing twenty (25) pounds or less. Finger dexterity is required to operate a computer keyboard and calculator. Must be able to travel to different communities and office locations when needed. May be required to operate a motor vehicle.
