Purchasing Coordinator Summary:

Reports directly to the Director of Purchasing. Provides analytical & technical support to vertical purchasing group. Role requires ability to consolidate purchasing info, assist in the creation of purchasing reporting schedules, manage/update existing purchasing tools and direct system improvement projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in monthly budget reviews.

  • Assist in monthly SOP reviews.

  • Lot start packages (drop budget & SOP) to ROC.

  • Resolve specification and plan conflicts.

  • Update community option masters and spec books.

  • Create tracking spreadsheets for global changes.

  • Process TOC's, UA's, & IPDU's.

  • Spread increases from trade partner.

  • Manage new community samples, exterior color schemes, & flooring packages.

  • Manage GE Appliance transitions from National.

  • Assist in setting up new trade partners.

  • Maintain Master Trade Partner & Master Trade Partner Summary lists.

  • Maintain Phase Tracker based on Construction's 15 week schedule.

  • Run SIM reports for every active community at the start of every month.

  • Run vendor workbooks for trade partners.

  • Assist purchasing managers with enhanced elevation maps and window TO's.

  • Research PO's, specs, and any other relevant information requested by Purchasing Managers.

  • Maintain a positive and professional relationship with all potential and existing trade partners, sales agents, and construction managers.

  • May be required to cross train for position(s) within the division organizational structure from time to time as required.

  • Perform all other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • One (1) year of related experience preferred

  • High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree preferred

  • High degree of construction knowledge

  • Intermediate skills in Microsoft Word and Excel

  • Maintain regular attendance and punctuality relative to daily work schedule is required

  • Excellent writing skills

  • Detail oriented

  • Strong organizational skills

  • Valid driver's license

  • Accepts constructive feedback

  • Team player

General Overview of Compensation & Benefits:

We reasonably expect the base compensation offered for this position to range from an hourly rate of $19.96 - $32, subject to adjustment based on business-related factors such as employee qualifications, geographic pay differentials (e.g., cost of labor/living, etc.), and operational considerations.

  • This position may be eligible for bonuses.

  • This position may be eligible for commissions.
