Purchasing Coordinator – What You Will Do

You will work directly with customers as their primary point of contact and customer care representative, assisting with every step of their project from initial quote through product delivery. You will:

  • Receive customer outreach and inquiries from customers seeking a quote
  • Input quote requests into the queue system
  • Work quote requests from the queue system, preparing the quote which includes detailed information about the purchase and cost of each line item of material needed for the quote (each quote could take 2+ hours to prepare!)
  • Coordinate directly with the customer to review and clearly explain the quote to the customer
  • Receive purchase order from customer when customer approves the quote
  • Purchase the materials
  • Oversee the movement of inventory from initial purchase order through receiving, kitting and shipment back to the customer
  • Maintain customer relationship ensuring ongoing customer service and account management

Purchasing Coordinator Required Skills, Traits & Abilities:

  • You enjoy client service / interacting with customers
  • Excellent attention to detail to key in information including pricing information
  • You are a master organizer - you will manage multiple accounts and projects at once
  • You have experience navigating basic MS Excel spreadsheets (data entry of inventory information to assemble quotes) and utilizing email (Outlook) for email correspondence
  • You are motivated by a job well done
  • Able to work 100% in office, working an 8am to 5pm schedule Monday through Friday
  • Prior experience working in a purchasing, inventory procurement or customer account management role (not required, but you might have)

Your compensation will be $24 to $30 per hour, depending on experience.

This role requires successful completion of a drug test and background check prior to start date.
