Purchasing Coordinator

Summary:

We are seeking an enthusiastic, organized, highly motivated individual to work with the Production Control team to process project shortages, purchase out of stock inventory items, and non-inventory items as required. Analyze long lead times while considering projected project and sales forecasts. Also, adding expedites for the buyers, where necessary, to ensure stock is delivered within the agreed time frame. Maintain purchasing history and vendor files.

Responsibilities:

• Orders project related supplies and materials to coordinate with production schedule.

• Processes daily inventory backorders.

• Plans inventory for long material lead times, and fabrication schedules.

• Maintains multiple sources for important and critical inventory.

• Sources substitutions and replacements for unavailable and/or discontinued parts.

• Creates purchase orders for all inventory/non-inventory purchases, all services for a project (all mechanical equipment rentals, contractors), capital equipment, office, and factory supplies, building vendors, etc.

• Maintains purchasing records, open and completed.

• Works with the stockroom and the manufacturing department to coordinate all incoming material.

• Coordinates the timely delivery of critical materials to agents in the field.

• Works with Production Control to do yearly inventory count.

Experience:

• High school diploma or GED
