Purchasing Coordinator (Bilingual)

Job Description Job Description The Purchasing Coordinator should have a strong work ethic, be proactive, be self-motivated, have excellent organizational and coordination skills, be computer proficient in Microsoft Office and integrated purchasing accounting software. Also needs to have the ability to work with a team dedicated to providing a quality product, on schedule and on budget.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Support with placing orders with suppliers for production materials as required to meet quick demand and turnaround times. Provide administrative support including processing of correspondence from rough or revised drafts, data entry, preparations and/or maintenance of miscellaneous reports and vendor files.

Monitor the status of open orders to ensure on-time delivery of all materials, including timely resolution, communication, and mitigation of future potential problems. Collaborate to develop a schedule to receive the shipment of goods. Receive and process material deliveries daily, including verification of delivered items/quantities, unloading trucks, ensuring items are stored correctly and processing needed returns.

Confirm all received materials match the purchase orders. Set up and maintain an item master list for inventory keeping. Promptly accounting for the location of materials received.

Assuring no damaged items are received. Prepare orders/packages for pick-up by contractors. Maintain a clean and organized work environment.

QUALIFICATIONS: 1-3 years of experience in buyer/planner/material scheduler role. Must be bilingual in English & Spanish. Knowledge of inventory management and warehousing disciplines.

Proficient in MS Office - advanced skills with MS Excel. Strong sense of urgency and attention to detail. Excellent organization, communication, and follow-up skills.

Previous construction purchasing is a plus.
