SUMMARY
Our organization is looking for a Purchasing Clerk to assist in purchasing of goods and services in a timely manner so there are no unforeseen interruptions to production. Office supplies, misc. requests, materials, services. You will also work closely with Accounts Payable to reconcile purchase orders, if there are any issues.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Send RFQ's to vendors for best pricing.
Create purchase orders and responsible for revisions to PO's as needed.
Ensures purchasing documents are properly completed and the terms and conditions of the purchase order are appropriate.
Responsible for routing proofs.
Responsible for monitoring stock levels and placing all supply orders.
Maintain the open purchase order report each week, communicating with vendors, and following up on back-orders to ensure orders are complete and delivered on time.
Work with accounts payable to research and resolve any PO discrepancies.
Obtain price quotes as needed.
Responsible for handling any returns for defective /damaged product received from suppliers.
File all Purchase orders in vendor files in alpha numeric order and create new (DAILY) & (WEEKLY), Scan into tracking system as required.
Requesting samples for various departments from(AS REQUIRED)
Vendors per request for UDC working with buyers.
Perform various other duties to support the Purchasing team.
EDUCATION/YEARS EXPERIENCE
High School Diploma or equivalent
Previous Supply Chain experience
JDE One World experience preferred
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
Computer proficiency, particularly with Excel
Good negotiation skills
Good time management skills
Good communication skills
Organized and pay attention to detail
