Job Description

Summary: The Purchasing Clerk provides administrative support to the Purchasing department. This includes assisting the team in day-to-day activities such as reviewing purchase order data, auditing invoices, collecting supplier information during the onboarding process and general problem solving, as necessary. This position requires regular interaction with multiple departments throughout the company, including Purchasing, Maintenance, Operations, and Finance.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Assists with purchasing functions and clerical duties as directed.

• Collects data/establishes recordkeeping and produces reports as requested.

• Reviews and completes supplier credit applications.

• Provides prospective suppliers with documentation in the supplier onboarding process.

• Maintains and updates all supplier records in the Purchasing Department.

• Enters, reviews, and closes purchase orders, invoices, and other documentation for accuracy.

• Requests quotes, lead times and information from suppliers as needed.

• Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED required

• Experience with contract and supplier management

• Basic knowledge of office 365

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Problem solving and research skills

• Detail-oriented

• Able to prioritize tasks

• Strong organizational skills

• Time management skills and ability to multitask
